I did fire once. Don't worry, no bullets involved. It was an empty shot. We even saw a demonstration of how soldiers advance through the battlefield.

I'm told empty shots can damage the firing pin due to inertia and it not encountering resistance (i.e the bullet casing in its path). Even leaving that aside, this is not how firearms are supposed to be handled. This is worrying to say the least.

Maybe it's just because I'm a big ol' leftist hippy, but this really disturbs me.

Then I may be one too, because I'm with you on this.

I seriously don't understand the issue here.
I'm just saying that when children carry guns they're cute. They're cute with everything, except some things of course (don't mention them).
Meh, maybe we just had a misunderstanding, as always :/

While I do understand that firing without ammo somewhat damages the weapon, it was still OK because those were old, very old weapons, and they weren't being used by the soldiers. 1 of the sniper rifles jammed, but it was not a problem, because it wasn't supposed to be used.

I clearly knew what I was doing, I clearly knew that the weapons were prepared, prepared to be used by people who don't know anything "real" about weapons.

On any other occasion, such as finding a gun in my basement, I would simply check whether the weapon is loaded, I would turn on the safety switch, and, if needed, I would give it to someone who would do something about it.

At the event, we were told a story about a teenager who found a rocket launcher in his addict. He got very excited about it, and pretended being Rambo, and actually fired it. Guess what happened?

He turned it in the wrong direction, and fired, so it hit a wall behind him, and he lost his right arm. Poor fellow unhappy - :(

I am not that reckless.

Doesn't make it right for him to be there.
Does America not have any kind of contingency for getting rid of someone that the public has no confidence in? Seems like that will have to be invoked sooner or later if there is.

I mean according to votes, roughly half the population is confident he'll be fantastic. Who cares if people are protesting on every friggin' continent, he won by a little bit, right?!

Tell that to immigrants, refugees, women, the environment, trade partners, foreign leaders and Mexicans.
A generation of kids just grew up with a black man in one of the most powerful seats in the world, sticking up for individual rights and campaigning for the environment.
Now a generation of kids will grow up with an entitled manbaby who promotes xenophobia, homophobia, misogyny, pettiness, dishonesty and violence.

Do not underestimate the power a figurehead can have.

@Archie, when you say "cunt" in Scottish, is the "t" pronounced or do you use the glottal stop?
03 Feb 17, 13:09
By Urby
avatar
Entirely brush based
It's very much pronounced in the scottish accent and most others for that matter. I can only imagine a full on cockney accent would use the stop.

Well I mean in his first week and a half he cut funding for international aid programs, signed an order for a wall that will put the US (which many countries have tied their currency to) into debt, banned refugees for entry, including those who have already been through a 2-year vetting process, banned normal travelers from various countries, threatened war with 2 countries, one of which is a nuclear power (Mexico and China) and sent Seal Team 6 into Yemen to commit actual war crimes which resulted in the death of at least one comfirmed child and countless civilians.

I appreciate your optimism, but If he does all that in less than 2 weeks, all of which affects the outside world, imagine the kind of havok he could wreak in his full 4-year term.

When has he promoted homophobia and violence? And how do you promote pettiness? Pettiness seems like a weird thing to promote.

I collected some stuff over the past year:

This was in... May.

This was in June.

This was in August.

This was in October.

And then in December:

I've got more.
This was in March:

This was in May.

Hmm, yeah. Now I can keep doing that over the months, and ultimately track down the vegetational periods in my area grin - :D

So, Far Cry and Crysis should somewhat resemble the mentioned photos?

I'm just saying that I live in an environment where the vegetation has that look of a blend of Crysis, Far Cry 2 and 4.

However, once the winter comes, it looks like a mix of STALKER, and Half-Life 2. I'll post a photo of that, too wink-wink - ;)

If I had a nice view out of my window like that, I'd take a photo every day at the same time for a year and then make a timelapse.

There's more:

The STALKER + HL2 part. I know it doesn't look like them, but it is really cloudy.

Well, this is something I might make for Sven Co-op wink-wink - ;)
After all, I love "train rides" (not limited to trains, hence the quotation signs).

Hah, look at that. I could extract a texture or two from it.
Oh, those hills and trees. Sadly, I'll leave my village someday. unhappy - :(

Now, time for some school photos!

This is a hallway on the 1st floor.

And this is the other side. Since I can't select Large Thumbnail etc. on mobile Imgur, I decided to manually scale the images wink-wink - ;)

There's even more...
Somewhen in the future, I'll perhaps need them as reference pictures. About the school pictures, well, I'll need them very soon, and I've already extracted 6 textures, I think.

Well, let's see what my room looked like a year or two ago:

Huh, it hasn't changed almost anyhow, except I added a blanket under my table, on the wooden floor, to avoid getting cold.

So yeah, that pretty much represents my work conditions.
The only problem I have here is that I share my room with my grandma, but that's not such a big deal, except it limits me from using the voice chat on Discord unhappy - :(

Cool stuff, Admer, although the school photos are a bit pointless - it's just a hallway tongue - :P
The view from your home is exceptional - DiscoStu's timelapse idea would be awesome there.

I haven't posted much here for ages, so here's a smattering of shots I've taken over the past few months:

There's nothing special about them.

And, lol, the only "OK" camera I have is the one on my phone. But hey, it's good enough for sufficient texture extraction, and that's all that matters.

Yawn.
It's spring. grin - :D

Apparently, this is coming back to what it looked like in June 2016.

Now, onto the stuff which is worth mentioning...

So we've recently gone to Daorson, and some 6th-graders claimed to have found a mine. My Nazi classmate and I went up close, and he took this photo:

"Uništavanje ili premještanje kažnjivo"
"Removal or moving it is punishable." (i.e. illegal)

Stupid little kiddies.

But at least I got some nice photos there:

Apart from that, something bad happened to me, but let's not mention that here. It's not as bad as you think. smile - :)

Also, what THE HECK is this:

OMG, that's so funny! XDDDD
My brother laughed so hard...

Let's see, what else?

I brought my laptop to school to play CS 1.6 with my female counterpart. tongue - :P
Well, she would've been my counterpart if she was interested in the things I am, so she's not exactly my counterpart, lol.

And last but not least...
drumroll

I tried running BF2 (it's free, by the way) in 64x64...
Hooray! But no fps differences whatsoever.

But imagine what would've happened if it was actually a mine, lol. My classmate got so close to it, I plugged my ears fearing of an explosion.

On our luck, it turned to be a measuring device, and we showed those 6th-graders that they're wrong. >:D
