I put big_city on the server for the sake of nostalgia. It's not coming down, but nobody is forcing you to play it :)

Yes, me too. The server is a success, it often has players.

I suggest the removal of dm_cliff from the server, the game lags a lot when you play it for some of the players including me (all my computer parts are modern), Urby and some others. It's not a bad map tho. Maybe tetsu0 could fix it.

Anyway. I'll see to attending that map. I'll have to dig it up in my old maps folder (old HD) and do a re-compile. I'm not sure if i have the textures anymore, (it's the hl2 set) I'll try to optimize and re-compile.

Adding 2 new models to the TWHL player pack tonight (if all goes well)

Muzz the NOD Trooper and (a random one but fun and easy to do) a Vault 101 dweller.

I will be adding Tetsu0 over the next couple of days too.

Perhaps Bolt is the unscoped crossbow, It is an instant hit and explodes, so it's not normal SP crossbow dammage.

I started making mario textures for my mario map. I also ! ! !made a block that when you jump under it, it bounces, changes into an empty box shell, a gun shoots out of the top of it and after a while it goes back to normal and you can do it again! All I need now is the sound and it will be exactly like mario.

I'll update the maps this Friday. Everyone's map requests will be added, and unless Tetsu0 fixes dm_cliff, I'm removing it [sorry].

Whenever those models are ready, I'll go find a simple model prechache plugin so everyone downloads them on connection.
Just keep in mind that even with fast downloads, there is such a thing as forcing clients to download too much.

any chance we could get weebl and abandoned on the server? weebl is essentially a fullbright pink killbox with a pie in the middle but it's quite good fun for what it is. feel free to check out the maps beforehand and knock them back if you don't like them. :>

Yeah. The bots are terrible, and wtf is with them killing you in 3 shots with the glock? It's a heap of bullshit.
And if they don't kill you instantly, they literally just float around in slow motion.

@World Crafter: I could write a plugin which only precaches one model each map. A new player would only get one of the models, but after playing a few more maps he would have all models. Does it sound like a good idea?

My 2 days off in order of events:

Tuesday:

09.00 Went into newcastle, bought soup
09.45 Got text from friend "Boss wants your CV. Send e-mail"
12.50 Got home sent CV in email
12.55 Got phone call, arranged interview for 10:30 Wednesday
13.15 Called Vets to book in kitten. Got appointment for same day! ^_^
16:30 Took kitten to vets. He's healthy.
17:50 Feeling lucky, tried to fix TV aerial (broken for weeks)
18:55 Shouted at cables
18:57 Fixed it

Wednesday:

09:00 Left for Shrewsbury.
10:30 Interview started.
10:35 Interview ended.
10:40 Got set up for a test. (build a website) PC's with Dual 25" monitors.
14:20 Got Lunch from McDonald's. Ate at desk.
16:10 Finished website.
16:11 Got Job!
18:05 Got home. Masturbated furiously.

And on the topic of the server... The HLstats seem broken.
I was playing for a good 2 hours yesterday and none of my stats moved at all... And what's with it not registering any of the accuracies or shots fired?

They're refreshed every 24hrs afaik, Tetsu0. And PsychoStats was originally created for CS, which may have a different hitbox system than DM, hence no accuracy stuff.

The bots actually work really intelligently in some maps, but are absolutely retarded in most of them. In Tetsu0's map (forget its name), they just stand around staring at walls, and then they'll slowly turn toward you and inexplicably kill you in two shots. Then in Carbaseus, I was a mile above them when they started glocksniping me. Is that supposed to compensate for their incompetence, or what?

Only map i remember having on there is DM_cliff. Unless they slapped dm_falls up there without me knowing about it. Oh and BTW i accidentally reformatted 120 gig of my portable HD whilst re-installing windows on my cuz's lappy. I selected the wrong drive >.<
What a moron am i eh?

Yeah so anyway i lost (permanatly) the source files for dm_cliff, unless they're magically floating around my slave HD. So it will remain laggy and sucky forever.

And speaking of glock sniping, i'm sick of constantly having a red glowing sprite on my face when in mid-air in mario air. That really pissed me off. Expecially when they just auto aquire targets and there's no running because they can see you from all the way across the map..

And is there a way to change the HUD color?
I can't see crap with this orange. Specially with the X-bow

I only asked about the HUD because you can't see what weapon you're selecting in Sacefar. I havent gotten the slots memorized either.
