Cool, once i saw a military plain flying and it did a turn 180 degrees and than forward again, it looked as if it passed around the moon.

What you witnessed was a top-secret government aircraft. The men in black will be at your door momentarily.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was some kind of big passenger aircraft like a boeing.

I can usually see Mars.
I need to get a telescope though

Never seen a military plane but seeing military helicopter's isn't exactly rare here.

Funny because yesterday i was looking at the night sky and noticed this very bright star.
I fired up Stellarium to see what it was. It was Mars.

Btw, you should check out Stellarium, it's a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D in realtime, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope.

That and Celestia.

I see Mars all the time. Maybe it's the time of the year or something.

There have been a few times that I've been in Wales, on the motorway near Holyhead port, when some type of military fighter has flown overhead. Probably a training exercise from a nearby Air Force base or something.

I've been seeing these two suspicious looking lights in the sky for the past weeks. I can't remember them being lined up like that before, so I pointed my telescope at one of them expecting to find jupiter, but it was too fuzzy to tell. Comparing it with your photo of mars I'm starting to think that maybe that is what I saw. Not sure at all, but the light comming from it definitelly shifted in red/orange.

My astronomy teacher would kill me if he saw this. I never was any good at studying the night sky. It's just too messy.
