Simple, check your compile log. it'll say stuff about not being able to find textures.

It should be in the same place as your map is.
For example, half-life/valve/maps/compile.txt

I had this problem when i was compiling with textures from CS 1.5 (retail) and playing the map in steam. apparantly the wads get updated or something

lol. noobs with simple questions like this should read the tutorials first! that is a really simple answer, it would just save peoples time and space.....
