What i've done so far of my first delve back into HL1 mappin. Your goal is to make your way down to some old labs (I used the design of my old aqualabs that Ansith used in Strangefindings, but modified highly). Custom wad, skins, textures and sounds all by me. Ignore the state of the second map because that's all i've made so far.

forgot to mention that the custom sounds should be put in just the sound folder not under ambience. Put the models in models AS IS, same for the sprites in the sprites folder. That should be everything - now get playing - need feedback :P

Very nice, The first map was excelent and the second one was well un finished like you said :P

+Good architecture

+Nice texturing

+Nice placement of stuff

-The door thingo dident fall down which I think it was suppost to

-Could have done al little bit more to just finish the room of the second map

Yeah when I shot the thing on top of the door I died and dident know what happend then I thought it might have been it was suppost to fall.

But very nice. I won't rate it yet because its unfinished

arg! the bloody gate thing, the dead barney to the right of it manages to block it somehow, ive moved him, deleted him and put a new one in but the damn gate gets snagged on him stupidly - i dont get it. If hes gone it works but i want him there, hmm... 'tis a mystery.
avatar Ansith says: 19th January 2006, 06:13 AM
He expoleds or a scientist does I don't remeber
avatar Strider says: 19th January 2006, 10:28 AM
yep thats it barney explodes and the gate doesnt open as a result, i'll fix that up when i submit the next update, could be a while but.

Minimod es no workie for me. I'll try again later.
avatar Strider says: 23rd January 2006, 07:37 AM
...wha? its not working for you? its not in mod format, put the files in the correct folders.
avatar rowleybob says: 24th January 2006, 06:40 AM
Oes!!! In that case, I would recommend providing the correct directory structure/files for you downloading public!

Models
Sprites
Maps
Sound/ambience/
Strider.wad

Also you don't have to include the sprites, we have them already in halflife.pak. If they are different, I would recommend giving them an original filename, or putting it minimod format.

W00t! I've never started a level by falling through a skylight before--great!

Excellent detail work...some of the best I've seen in singleplayer maps--Look out Tlax!

The nice round curves of rubbish, or the nice jagged broken glass looks great. The red alert siren was pwn as well. In fact, the only negative thing I can think of is the ceilings are a bit low in places.

Superb work as usual.

Finish! Finish now :P

firstly i explained the directories above (did you read?) and those sprites are custom, to replace the lack-lustre ones hl uses. Thanks for the feedback though! :P

i liked the detail, and how the player is forced into the ventalation system.

I remember playing this a while back. It was pretty original and creative, and the lighting was good as well. I hope you're putting a bit of work into this from time to time.

It's long dead and lost, I'm afraid. >_>

Why? did you delete it off of your hard drive or something?

It's a great mod! Has a lot of detail and was very fun to play.
