This is a very basic map showing two types of security camera activity. To answer a post that asked "How do I create surveillance cameras which after seeing you for a few seconds, trigger something eg: alarm, monstermaker?
Also, is it possible to make them swivel realistically (A few degrees at a time)?"
Cam 1 is a func_door which swivels. Cam 2 is a func_tank that follows the player. The cameras are ugly, I know. :)

Use a func_pendulum for swivelling cameras. It doesn't look too bad if you get the degrees and angle right. I like the idea of a func_tank, I'm going to try that.

If u want it to trigger when it see's you you can't..........

U can on the other hand make it appear that the cameras have seen u by placing trigger once where the cameras would view. When the player walked inot the trigger once it would trigger it and whatever it was set to trigger. Hay-presto

Anyhow I'm sure there is a way to make a timedelay but I can't think of it right now

It is always a good idea to take a look at the rmf before commenting. There IS a way to trigger something when the camera sees you, and I've shown how to do it right here....with the time delay (Camera 2). The trigger-once method is also shown here (Camera 1).

Another helpful SlayerA example map. I'm sure this opened some people's eyes on the possibilities of stealthy maps.
