Even so, winds that powerful... We had what I would have otherwise called fairly strong winds in my area today, and they didn't come anywhere near having enough force to do anything more than add a bit of resistance to movement.

Holy crap. I didn't even know there was a hurricane in the UK area, and that sounds intense. Far worse than anything I'm likely to ever be caught in the middle of.

"Hiroshima."
Dear humanity, I hate you, please die. Your friend, JeffMOD.
It's pretty much a blanket statement for all the assholes who do evil things. The atomic bombing of Japan was one of those. Yes, they stopped a rather lengthy war. They also killed a bunch of civilians in the process. Not America's finest moment. I have long since come to the conclusion that human nature is an evil thing and that there will always be bad people. Especially when there are near-worthless bits of paper with large integers on them involved.

You needed a website to tell you that asian girls are hot? :/ I thought it was common knowledge. On topic: Hahaha. Hahahahahahaha. Hahahahaha. Ha ha. Spam.

Is it just me, or are all the major world governments trying to get into the whole "invasion of privacy on the internet" deal? A while back we had a bill that would allow the Canadian gov't to search your emails and such without a warrant. The scarier part is, I'm not sure whether or not it passed.

I'll take that as a compliment. Also, first sentence of my journal has been edited for clarity. I guess the riddle I used was too bad to be perceived as such.

Dimbark: No, .3 Dollars would be 30 cents; $.5 is 50 cents, 1.0 is a dollar. Walking 25KM in the rain must suck, but how the hell did 4 obviously desperate muggers (they were using an apple peeler, after all) let you get off with only 30 cents?
EDIT: Oh, also Dimbark, 1 KM is a little over half a mile. (0.62 miles) Get with the times man, Imperial is so outdated, archaic, and unscientific.

When stuff like this happens, it makes me feel bad to know I can be associated with these people due to my beliefs. Which is why I stopped going to church. Religious nuts are like any other form of nuts, except they use God to justify their wrong actions, as if saying "God wants us to [immoral action]" makes it true. Case in point: The Crusades, compared to the part in the Bible that says "Thou shalt not kill"

That's just... I don't know what to say. Shit. I can't begin to imagine what you and your friends are going through right now. Condolences, and I hope that everyone gets through it.
And even though he's one of your friends, don't let the guy who did it get away with just a beating. Make sure charges get pressed.

"People are already talking like that about Source." And they've been doing it ever since '07. It really bothers me that they do that, because the engine isn't outdated, it just doesn't focus on graphics. :
Never had a chance to play Blue Shift. Heard good things and bad things about it, but I want to give it a try eventually.

All we got up here was some light rain (you couldn't even notice it unless you were outside) and a shitty gray sky. Didn't do wonders for my energy, but it wasn't even noteworthy aside from what should have happened but didn't. Glad to hear you're okay down there, though!

Well, I guess when we go see the movie, we won't have to work too hard to spot you, then. If I am correct in guessing, (I realize you may have signed an NDA and won't be able to confirm/deny) does this 3D modeling mean you get totally dismembered?

You wait too long to make a costume one year, and you never get back into the habit of doing it again...
