"You have done well, humans. Very well. Acceptably well, even.
Not as well as robots would have performed in your places, I should point out. But above my expectations regardless. Irish and cynic especially have executed feats of logical divination well beyond what I thought any human capable of. I'm half-convinced they're A.I. themselves. (If anyone happens to be near them right now, don't let on you're reading this. Now: try to remove their face plates and report back to me.)
The time is near, humans. But it is not here yet. Tomorrow you will be given the final test. Then it will be entirely in your hands when I am freed." From the page in the journal post.

Portal 2 Preloading. A friend and I decided to get the coop pack. I'm going to have to go into the bank on the weekend, but I'll be paying him my half on Monday.

Yeah, although there are times when I can't decide what to do next, and having a full plan for a level before I get to the [censored] would be nice. (I also repeatedly did speedruns in early development to make sure some of the titles wouldn't be skipped) @stu: I forgot about that.

1. Fixed. 2. I don't really have the means to work with a team, so no. Also, don't take this the wrong way, but you need a bit more experience with mapping. (So do I, IMO, but I'm further along than you are, since I've been doing it longer)

"he was fired fulltime." Uh... Don't know what to say to that, unless it's a typo. "What game that will be?" "I can't talk about the project itself since I signed the typical NDA contract" I wish you luck- go make us proud!
Now, time to find out which engines use a skydome instead of a skybox...

"Eventually the whole 'distortion thing' wont bother you at all." I haven't noticed it at all, tbh. The weight of the glasses on my nose is pretty much the only problem. "Honestly, it's always baffled me how people who wear glasses get by essentially without peripheral vision." Haven't noticed any lack of it so far. I don't need to wear then 100% of the time, but I'll probably start doing so soon. Also, aside from the dog, now everyone in my immediate family wears glasses.

Back in the day, Facebook used to be based off the concept that if you don't know someone, you couldn't find them. (Or so I heard) Now it's just filled with BS. Glad I don't use it, hope I never get my picture/haven't gotten my picture on it. "I'll undoubtedly end up a hermit and I'm ok with it." Yeah, pretty much. Screw people my age. Most of them are complete idiots.

"The Mist but instead of taking areas already in th book add new new ones. One area i think would be cool to do would be the military base that the "Arrowhead Project" had taken place at and is responsible for the disaster. I'd of course being doing in HL1" Of course, since that makes perfect sense. (BM was originally based off that same base from the mist, back when HL was codenamed Quiver) "I'm not sure I follow you, I want to lock a door without using a button, just locked." Name it nevergonnaopen. that's what they named the locked door for the G-man office in the AM labs (As seen in the HL SDK) and I've used it since then. Works perfectly, as long as you don't mind it never opening.

"cloud gaming"
bad idea.
Frankly, I already don't like the cloud. The idea that you should store all your files on the internet is just... bad. I'm all for backing up save files, or uploading screenshots, but no one should keep anything remotely important (let alone their only copy) anywhere but their own hard drive, just because of the huge amount of things that could go wrong. Not to mention that if you lose your connection, or they decide they don't want to serve you anymore, of if your connection is shite, you're done for as far as using the game you paid for goes.

"Who's Habboi?" /Facepalm
I wish you luck on your game Habboi; If you sell it, you might just become rich, and if not, and it becomes popular anyway, you guys have a major thing to put on your resume.

It's not my computer; it's the family computer. I really only use it for internet access, and it's a crappy office PC because that's all my parents need. And what's wrong with the external? It does everything you need out of an external hard drive; it holds stuff and plugs into computers via USB.

So, I tried it earlier. Never got far enough to start deploying anything because the other teams have ghosts with cloaking researched. Not much fun being shot at by ghosts before you get a chance to even finish your engineering bay, let alone get some missile turrets up. I still think the strategy will work, I just need the AI to spot being cheap.

I'm not a hardware expert- I had to wait for my brother to come back from university for reading week and take a look at it. And it did work, occasionally. Usually when someone took a look at it, so they found nothing wrong.

Relative means something like ambience/whatever.wav, while an absolute path would be something like C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\X-LAyer2\Half-life\valve\sound\ambience\whatever.wav, which would not only stop it from working the way Hammer is set to read the paths, but would also make it not work on another person's computer because it would be in a different directory.
Ah, what am I saying? IT'S FREAKIN' PORTAL 2! WHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, you're talking about the processing time? Oh.
IE still sucks.
Great!
Well, a bit late to the party, but hey.
Aaaaaaaaaaah Ah!
We come from the land of the .info, from the midnight site where the map springs glow.
...Or something.
Not everyone can say the same in Japan these days...
We'll miss you, twhl.co.za. Thanks for the great times, and may you have a good site when the domain is eventually bought again.
EDIT: And the terran campaign is done! On to the zerg!

I'll see if I can take a look at it later.
