I'm not going to watch it. I'm just going to shake my head sadly at humanity's stupidity.
Dogs are people too- They may not speak any human languages, or have thumbs, but they are intelligent, and they have feelings. And for me, intelligence and self awareness are the only real factors for being a 'person'. I know most of you won't agree, but I don't care. These idiots beating the dog are murdering it, and either way, it's not right.

I'll be honest here- I don't feel these are your best work; I was expecting something much more detailed. But then again, I was expecting a collection of SP maps as well. The detail level, for DM maps, is at a decent level, considering your skill level and that MP maps are usually layout based as opposed to visual based.
The maps themselves show the kind of gameplay you enjoy in Deathmatch: Tight and fast paced, with only a few players. There are some cool ideas in there, such as breaking boxes to gain weapons. The ramp in the computer map was a nice touch, although I had to crouch to climb it, which would slow players in pursuit of the Tau Cannon down.
All in all, for a beginner's first set of Deathmatch maps, they're okay. But not your best work, and definetly not the best work you'll ever do if you stick at it.

Make sure you install the plastic standoffs (screws) on the motherboard. It will save a lot of grief, and most likely your motherboard will fry if you try to boot it up without the standoffs.

sigh There's no pleasing you, is there? AMD Athlon II X2 250 processor, XFX GeForce GTS 250 Graphics card (as stated above) I also have an Asus M4A785-M - AMD786/SB710 Motherboard, if that's of any interest to you.
Thinking that I'll put the playthroughs aside- I already caved and played HL2 before I finished HL1.

Dual Core 3GHz CPU with a 2MB cache, 1TB HDD with a 32MB cache, 512MB cache on the graphics card, and 4GB of Ram. A lot of you will probably snort, but it's my first build, and I had a fairly tight budget considering this is a gaming PC. It suits my needs.

It's an XFX GeForce GTS 250. If you're looking for a NVIDA card, then I recommend it, but if you have a large budget (over 950) then you could probably pick up a better one somewhere.

It's a good start for a new mapper. Work on texturing, detail, and porportion, though. There are some mis-aligned vertices on the staircase going into the pool- you may want to fix that. All in all, it's a good start- keep refining your skills and you can go places.

I live in an area that is best described as "The suburbs for a small town" There's a town down the road that we're officially part of, and the city's outer limits are close by. Of course, those outer limits are a few other small towns as well.

Still, you made the right choice. And she might forget to take you out or something.

EDIT: Fixed and journal edited, thanks.
....
Old habits die hard.
My Easter was good as well, but the only story I could tell would be that of going through the early bits of KoTOR.
Will download sometime soon.
saw: Yeah, that does add to the humour a tad.
Some people are just stupid. Lets go find them in an internet match and tell them about how they can't die in the game if they press Alt-F4.
Depends. Is it medical examinations of scantily clad women?

Can't wait to start mapping on this rig.

Might make an entry if I get an idea.
Of course, once they release The Passing, that will change.

You've defenitely found someone perfect for you.
I hate the music most of my peers play.
I was some sort of inteligent hampster or something.
Nice blog page.
