Dynamic lights are a remnant of quake but its quite used like for explosions, rpg, flashlight. But i guess having too many of these dynlights is going to choke even a modern cpu

you could make the elevator out of CLIP and without any sound, entities probably cant be made only out of CLIP but you could hide the tiny solid brush somewhere inside a wall. You could trigger them with a delayed trigger... Or you could simply make the entire area between levels of low gravity but in both cases simply walking on the platform would need to be solved. You could somehow count the time a player spends on the platform, if lets say he spends 2 seconds, the elevator would activate, otherwise if the player would walk or run through it, it wouldn't reach 2 seconds so the elevator wouldn't activate... Maybe just experiment

actually the way his gamma makes the lighting look so bright kinda suits the map better since its set in a desert?! anyway the lighting in this map is great, sometimes hard to tell apart from Source and also reminded me of Mirror's Edge. It's kind of a massive version of crossfire and would probably play interestingly but one sad truth is that these days it's really hard to get players in HLDM and even if you do, few would wait the 20MB download, the reality is that players gather from all around with the shittiest connections, I look after one server for years so talking from experience... And yeah fps isn't the greatest, on my linux craptop sometimes it drops to 10fps but I guess it runs fine on an average modern PC. Either way, since HL is such an unpredictable creature with a life of it's own, don't worry, players will see what this map is worth, either sooner or 20 more years later. Good work!

The sounds and all the tiny effects in this map are great. Sounds are just the right volume so you can hear other players. Unlike your other maps, this is far less linear so it's much better for DM and from what I played it might be a pretty good map. Again the lighting is a bit bland but nevertheless this map is very cool

It is a bit bland... Not in a bad way, it's gloomy. Is it something you aimed for? Nice work on the textures, everything is really clean although the textures themselves need a bit more grit and life. Like a few other maps of yours I have seen, this one is quite linear, I mean there are few branches, which is unusual for a DM map. Is it also something you aimed for? I played it only for a bit so can't say if it's bad but I think it makes it really hard for noobs, especially when they respawn and have nowhere to hide since it's so linear... And it's also a bit repetitive visually, making it hard to navigate, if the lighting wasn't so bland it would be a bit easier. Anyway good work and thanks for reminding me of Doom 3

like always, tremps maps are crazy! so is w_poly. tremp is getting really good at mapping weird curved stuff. I played it for a while in our rfes hldm server called quakeroach where many other crazy tremps maps rotate and it was surprisingly interesting for such a small map. Lots of cover, lots of tactics, jumping through windows and other action movie crap. 4 hours 4 stars, should have spent 1 more hour to fix the crazy w_poly and used up decals.

i think its just a waste of time, if 2 ppl dont really love each other, marriage is only gonna make it worse, if they really love each other, marriage wont change anything

also if you go to a shopping mall and buy a coca-cola you can go home and pull a vertice then do some carve and stuff then go sleep
