Tetsuo that's really interesting. I've never played a real slot machine and the ones on the internet that don't involve real money are derpy from the bunch that I played before I started the project. I'm always looking for things to add to the Shop and buying lines could be a possibility.

I never wrote down the immediate stop trick in my fix log, and when I updated it, I had a lot to do and it slipped. The trick happens because the cycle changes every 0.1 seconds. Pulling the lever MAY give you a chance to stop it depending on when you are in that 0.1 second window. Sometimes it misses and the reel flips to the next icon. Shit it would be nothing to add a slight cool down for the lever. :/

I dug into a bullshit amount of research about how these things work. I decided to remove the odds so that the player can enjoy winning with their own skill of stopping the reels as well as testing their own natural luck with stopping the reel within the 0.1 second window. Normally a real slot machine just picks them at random with a chance that you win only SOME of the time so that you have the illusion that you can win. Truth is you can't and the odds of getting anything remotely better than breaking even is 8000 to 1. I didn't want to make a bullshit game that just takes away your virtual money, no one would play it.

The inner workings is massively procedural so if you have suggestions, I want to hear them.

I kinda forgot you freelanced. I wish I was as successful as you were. Do yourself the biggest justice ever and never come to America looking for big work. It's not here, Americans can't even get American jobs.

When I started out, I had no experience for design stuff so I freelanced. Just found out the other day that I freelanced so much that I'm over qualified for most of the jobs I can handle short of a position at a gaming studio. YET I don't have enough actual gaming experience or a strong enough portfolio to get into a studio. I'm am quite perfectly fucked. My usual pool of clients that I did freelance for dried up this year so nothing has progressed. I'm basically living off of the good will of others and I feel absolutely awful. I didn't mean to spill this all over your journal, I'm just having some trouble sorting it out.

Either way, I wish you the absolute best. I don't know what kind of area you live in, but at least you have skills that are more widely useful than mine being in media stuff. Best of luck to ya.

Yes I am working in stencyl. It looks cheesy but that all depends on the user, as it IS powerful enough to make anything you want in 2D. Most of the community are younger kids or developers making fancy things. Its a giant trolling contest for the kids, a giant pissing contest for the developers. I don't spend much time there.

And as for as my Kegels ...they're just fine (I'm a Belly Dancer remember? I can do stuff..neat stuff, anyway)...If you wanna know about Rim's Prostate..well, that's another matter entirely LOL (Need I say that this is still Lyssa? XD)

Hello All!
Lyssa Here.
Rim's Procedure went..well....ish...
He had the chance of letting other doctors who wanted to learn the procedure be present for his (also it took $100 of the procedure, but we'll say he did it for medical advancement)
The thing is, we did not realize until things got going that one of the doctors learning the procedure would be learning it on HIM.
The main Dr who perfected the scalpel-less procedure guided and took charge when needed, but well...
Put it this way, at one point Rim asked if the Dr had lost his pocket watch in there....
It was a bit, just, more then either of us expected. A usual 10-15 min procedure to 50 min. Rim counted every..single..one...

He mostly slept when we got home. Sadly no good pain meds were given (they said there is no need, I don't have balls, but they fucking LIE) anyway so I gave him some of his left over pain meds from his Kidney stone.

He is up and around today, not in nearly as much pain as yesterday, which is good. He will probably continue to just do some light activities today and resume normal stuff tomorrow.

And as far as "fun" we must wait 12 weeks and 20 ejaculations...specifically, then he gets tested, and if no swimmers are detected, THEN we can have our fun.

He doesn't regret getting it, just maybe not having had been the guinea pig so to speak. I'm sure he'll regale you with tales of how they turned is vas deferens into balloon animals and such later on today (vas deferens=what they cut and clamp to make him not produce swimmers)

Someone else ah.... Striker..asked about testosterone. He wasn't castrated (where the testicles are removed) just had the the spaghetti separated form the meatballs so to speak.
the only thing that will go away are the swimmers. Everything else stays the same :)
He appreciates your kind words of support, thanks guys.

Aw I see. I get really good results with the node size being 128 or even 64 and compiling on precise vis mode. Also, its very common for maps to have much higher poly counts as modern computers are powerful enough to handle the higher count. No one really runs HL in software mode anyway unless by choice. Even I after a while, just stopped caring and focused on a nice even level of detail, generally staying below 3000 of course just in case.

This is a fantastic map and there is absolutely nothing I can say about it except one thing...

What design call made you block off the uppermost part of the room with the 3 tanks of green slime? Those areas up there would make for a great vantage and ambush point for players. I was left a little disappointed as I was only able to really access half of this room's potential space. If you have a good reason, I'd like to hear it. Also, why is there a random blood stain up there if no one will ever see it?

Overall 5* and I hope you win. This is deserving.

The year is 2199. We've been fighting for decades, there are not many of us left. There are fields of bodies, and mountains of skulls. No matter how many we kill, they keep coming. We are the humans, and they are the googles.

Nah, it won't stick.

OK! I got around to checking this out.

+ Excellent contruction.
+ Great color sense and textures.
+ Great ambience and lighting.
+ Zappy Cannon.
+ Amazing details, like the butterflies and leaves.

? I don't know why, but it felt like the sky was too low and it felt like it blocked me from going where I wanted to. Noclipping to the top of the big island I immediately thought that something could have been done up there besides what you did.
  • A part of the main island with the spinning generator is cut off by the sky box. This happens in a few areas else where too. With the excellent brushwork, I'm genuinely curious why you didn't make the islands more free floating in the skybox.
  • The elevator had a purple checker texture in the shaft. Might be just me.
Overall - 5 just because I like it that much.

EDIT: Should have read the previous comments first... lol.
So save some nodes, you could have the bottom portions of the islands, like below the point of no return, have them be illusionary and then use simpler clip brushes to make them solid to players.

To fade out your waterfalls, extend them as far as your max viewable distance is set. They can go outside the skybox, they will still render because a part of them will be visible. At the bottom, VM them into a point, and it will give the illusion that it goes on forever.

Declining the payment is done on the seller's side of things, and not everyone does it. The charity wouldn't want an amount to be blocked after I got the games, it'd be fraudulent.

Lemme try again. I wasn't super clear on things.

1: Donated $5 for Sims3. Worthit.

2: $5 pended on my statement but was cancelled. It was the charity's way of confirming legitimacy.

3: I spent all of the my money on rent so I had $0.83 left in my bank.

4: Donation finalizes and goes through, charging me $5 I don't have.

5: Bank charges me $35 in overdraft penalties.

I would love to work for a studio or company, its means at least some job security.

Sadly, in key points of my career development, things were missed. Being a high-tech based industry, I didn't have a computer that could run Source for a loooong time, or I couldn't get the tools everyone was learning like Zbrush. Simply I couldn't keep up with what I had at the time and it's set me back so much to the point where I'm nearly undesirable. I'm making a game in hopes that it would simply float and people enjoy it. I would like to make money, but seriously it features real people. All of whom I have not acquired photo-release forms from and I have no clue what legal bounds I have either selling the game in anyway, or if it can even be sold.

Even then, I see a lot of super successful titles being campaigned on kickstarter or similar. I tried and my campaign flopped for semi-political reasons. I didn't make a dime. I haven't gotten donations in forever and it seems like no one is even paying attention to it, or I don't see it or something. Feels like I have no support but I just keep working on it anyway.

Hey Guys, It's Lyssa, I thought I would Field a few of these questions.

Soup Miner- I Cannot take the Birth control Pill Due to the fact that I am intolerant to non biological hormones, AKA the Pill sends me off the deep end. That was one of the reasons I got the IUD when I was 21 in the first place. My medications (that I was taking back then) interfered with the effectiveness of the pill, so I stopped taking it, and when I tried to start again, it went badly, so the IUD was the Birth Control of Choice.

Striker- Trust me, he DOES do that. And I do the same to him. (this is probably TMI but we are past that I think)
If you are with a Girlfriend, would you REALLY not want to have sex again, like ever after having free roam for 4 years?
We are engaged to be married..that's a LONG time to go without sex, and I am paranoid enough that I won't let him near me with anything that can make babies unless there is some sort of fail safe.
As for testosterone levels, they should not be effected as not all testosterone is produced in the testes, some is also produced in the adrenal glands. The only thing he would lose would be his swimmers. He would still have a normal ejaculate, just sans swimmers.

Stojke- 26 is too young? I am 28. What would you consider "old Enough" exactly?
I mean I understand the doctors fighting me when I was 21, but I will be 30 in 2 years. So....yeah.

2muchvideogames- I personally have never wanted children due to the really shitty medical genetics I have been given. I don't think you were around when I had the Brain Surgery, but my Father has a small mass in the opposite side of the head (Mine was vascular not a "mass" but for lack of a better word) And That it is most likely that even though the AVM I had only occurs in 1% of the population, there is a chance our child could have one as well. I also have other genetic illnesses that are VERY difficult to deal with due to the fact that genetic illnesses is harder to treat with medicine that say just a chemically related illness. Not to mention I am intolerant to over 50 CATEGORIES of medications (we estimate 500 actual medicines in all) and that just sucks. My Father has the same thing, so the chance of a child getting my genetic grab bag are high
Aside from that I am also Phobic of pregnancy. The movie Alien comes to mind.
Rim personally just doesn't want children. He feels his life is fulfilled enough and he just doesn't feel his life would be better of for having kids then it is now. If that makes sense.
Kids aren't for everyone you know?

I just wanted to say that this is really hard for Rim. He is getting a LOT of flack about this. We aren't exactly sure why. I mean hell my mother is trying to subject me to a dangerous surgery (another one) instead of supporting us in this. Rim came here for the support of friends that have always been there for him. And he really does appreciate the support. Hell he still thinks Fondly on the Bazooka you all made him after the Kidney stone issues.
So while I don't mind answering these questions as they are valid, I just wanted to say that he really does value your support.

Hope that clears it all up.
