QC gets paid less because there is no sales bonus, but considering what they do, its fine for my budget.

The majority of the employees are fresh out of high school and have no idea what respect is or work ethic or employment rights. The managers are these same people who have been there so long the company has had no choice but to put them in management. The system is dreadfully flawed.

Also, no I don't have contacts, I just didn't have my glasses at the time of the photo.

Grats are fine, I actually did win this whole ordeal. Let me add that this all took event over a period of 2 hours even though its kinda hard to convey the severity in a journal post. I really was disturbed by what was said given the amount of pressure and the extremely high expectations. It was a numbers game and if the numbers are not simply high enough, you get fired.

Posting short pointless journals have been outlawed and site rules and regulations have been revised since early this year. This offence will be overlooked since you don't come around that often, but don't do it again.

My GF was just in the hospital going through something that poked her full of holes. Though I've never been there, I can relate.

(this is Rimrook's GF) I just had the Exact same thing done, same machine and everything. Mine was an angiogram and went to the brain, but same holes in the same places, I have 2 more procedures to go through, one in the same way, the other, well yeah. Glad it went well for you, and that you are doing better :)

No, mine works everytime. This is suck.

Use a trigger_pushes, 1 pushing up at a certain speed, and 1 pushing down at a slightly higher speed. It'll trap the player and slowly sink him.

The idea is neat though.

I love this map. Everything that needs to be fixed is already mentioned so I'll spare it.

I can't believe how well constructed this map is. I don't even think Beerfort is made this well. I'm voting for this for MOTM!

I can provide you with a airlock for that part before the water I think.

Four Stars.

+ Moderately well constructed
+ Decent Textures and usage
+ Simple and effect trees :)

? Weapon placements
? Ambiance
  • Needs to be bigger, everything seemed small
  • Less sharp terrain for better movement

There was one just before a reticle that you push a crate into to open a door. The room with the waste management like pools.

Played it. For some reason, almost every pushable was getting stuck by an invisible wall of some sort. Eventually I had to cheat my way at one part. I did enjoy the ambience, lighting, puzzles, and clean mapping and level design. I did not enjoy endless spawning of headcrabs. Its better to place crabs in strategic locations than to infinitely spawn them. Or after a certain amount of time or progress, spawn some more. Overall, I did enjoy it and it brought back some (probably now forgotten) classic Half-Life survival gameplay.

Well done.

Yeah this stuff was stored in a tiny dropper bottle and is used with a Sodium Hypochlorite reagent to test the chlorine levels. In the presence of chlorine, it turns pink.

Here's the "Good, Indifferent, and Bad" for you.

+ Rapid ladders for fast altitude changes.
+ Geometry and construction of the map is excellent.
+ The layout. 'tis good.

? The very top of the walls where it meets the sky could use some kind of trim. It looks bland.
? I think the lighting could be more interesting somehow.
? Perhaps too small.
  • RPG and Gauss are too close to each other.
  • Gauss isn't that necessary or useful on this map.
  • Walls seem very plain.
Overall this map is server-worthy and would be a nice addition to the rotation. I know I would enjoy playing around on it. I'll give you a chance to revise this map before I rate it.
Commented 9 years ago2010-05-21 19:15:51 UTC in vault item: de_afield Comment #18159
This map isn't that bad. It lacks a good variety of textures, but the construction of it is solid and very authentic looking to the Dust style. Not bad to look at, but not good either. Needs... love.

I want to rate this like a 3.4 for the effort and solid mapping.

Keep up the excellent work!

Also, if you want your maps to be played on a server, try mapping for Half-Life Deathmatch. We have a server new maps are uploaded often.
