They were asking voters what they thought of it on the radio before, and pretty much every single one of them said they had voted no to independence. However it was obviously a quite small sample size, so that's probably very little if any indication as to what the actual result will be.

23 if you include this one.

CT, I totally promise that the trips potential wasn't the entire reason I uploaded this map.

Maybe half the reason.

iirc, in the US the only parts that there would be any issues printing would be the regulated parts. So for example the lower receiver of an AR-15.
And those are legal to home-build anyway as long as they're not illegal for other reasons (full-auto, etc.), and they're not being made with the intent of selling them.

I would love to get a 3D printer myself, but if I were to buy something like that I'd probably buy a hobby lathe first.

I still have to have a look at the source files, but it is a very well made map, and a great idea. My only real nitpicks are that you can sometimes get stuck, the quickloading thing, and the fact that there is one rat that - apart from one time - I just couldn't kill. I've landed several grenades right next to it and when they go off it's unharmed.
Other than those though, I really like it.

It's not mentioned here, and it should be. If you have a face selected, and while holding the Alt key you right click on another face, it 'wraps' the texture around seamlessly. It's an extremely useful tool.

I read the preview on the front page as "I am now... no longer a man".
Combined with your new avatar I thought a TWHLer had a very interesting announcement to make. Turns out it was just an interesting one.

How do you prevent it from coming off if you hit a bump?

And okely dokely CT, sounds like a plan.

For all I know, a chainsaw engine won't be able to handle the stress and will just explode, but that's what YouTube's for!

That's a thing one of my lecturers always emphasized. If a surgeon fucks up once, he kills a person. If you fuck up once, you could potentially kill hundreds.
A point which he would make whenever someone in the class made a stupid mistake.

Of course if you're an engineer, it won't be immediate, and on any large project there will be other engineers there to hopefully catch mistakes, but you should still try not to make one.

I've always wanted to put a bicycle chain on a cheap chainsaw and make myself a crappy little motorbike. Maybe you could propel your boat with something like that CT?

Also, what's with the bike seat on the back in the first pic of it in the water?

I got stuck on the rotaty bit when I tried jumping on the outer edge to ride it up. You only get stuck for a few seconds (I think you get unstuck when a certain part of the rim passes you), and it doesn't happen every time, but I found it replicable. Nonetheless, it doesn't happen every time, and it only happens for a few seconds, so I doubt it would really impact gameplay.

There are a lot of positive comments that I could make, but have already been made, so I will say this. The idea of making a dm map seem like it's set in a bigger world by actually showing inaccessible areas, rather than just closed doors needs to be done a lot more, and I very much like the way it's been done in this map.

My only negative comments are that you can sometimes get caught on the big rotating thing, but it's probably not really often enough for it to really impact the map.
There are also some lighting errors on the rotating thing, although I'm not sure what you could do about that.

Also, those sprites on the floor lights are too sexy, I'm sure I won't be able to play right because I'll be staring at them the whole time. :P

I will withhold from rating until I've had a chance to play it on the server (which will likely be after my exams unfortunately), but it's looking like it will be a 5 from me.

[Edit] Forgot to mention, I absolutely love the lighting, especially the lighting from the orange vending machine in the hallway.

I'm doing aircraft engineering, although I had a maths exam on Wednesday that I think I screwed up as well. There were three questions, and we had to do two of them. Due to nerves I forgot the very first step (and only the first step) for one of the ones I had intended to do, and so couldn't do it. I had to do the question that I had not prepared for at all, and ended up getting that question very wrong.
