Very very nicely-styled and well-made map and what a fun idea! I also like the method you use for ticking down damage, brilliant! =P

I didn't play through the whole thing, but everything I saw looked well done. The only minor minor nitipick I have(after playing for 5 minutes) is to make those nice green door handles connect at the bottom as well as the top :(

A very damn stylish deathrun map!

Damn impressive doodads and it's rare to see a DR map like this that is so damn-nicely detailed!

I don't play Deathrun maps, so i noclipped to the part with the sexy waterfall, is there much after that and those wicked little ogre blade trap thingies? (those traps remind me of Orcs Must Die!

Really Really dig the style of this!

Very meticulously put together, and some really fine brushwork trims and beamwork in particular, but everything is top notch.

Looking up at that ceiling and taking it all in, makes me think you could have very easily made this a futuristic space freighter bay, or other various sci-fi themes! Clean, meticulous, beautiful work! =P

I love the destructification, and the brush props are gorgeous, e.g., that Humvee! Very cool beam effects and sound, and good/imaginative use of the texture pack.

Love the ambience! Great detail with those varied sewer bars and mechanical stuff! The feel of this mam reminded me of one of the Morlock lairs from the 2001 Time Machine movie with Guy Pearce, scarily so!(all that was missing were the smelting furnaces, cages, cavern areas!

I only briefly played, but is there a way to get out?

Fun gameplay and goodies all the way to the very ending(which is sweet btw)!

You did well matching the original style of Half-Life(a good thing!), going more the gameplay/scripting route over eye candy.

If I had one complaint, It would be the map is very dark. It fits the horror/suspense theme, so no big worries, just make sure your HL brightness settings are set to stock(so you're not making artificially dark maps).

Big kudos too for entering with your crazy work/school schedule! (Once again, you have inspired me ;))

I remember playing doom II for the first time at work(!386 or !486?), 1v1 over IPX i think? All I can remember atm are scary monsters, a shotgun, and a rocket launcher ;P

Downloaded DoomEdit to diskette, never once opened it! Had Castle Wolfenstein 3D on my computer at home, but I wouldn't play a shooter game again until Counter-Strike!

Did they have multiplayer for more than 2 players at a time back then? (fucked if i can remember!)

People new to the game I would say are the ones mostly shelling out real coin for weapons.

Everyone else gets them by through drops, giveaways, and/or openly begging for skins in chat during the game, and den you can trade THOSE for the desired items or case keys, OR sell them on the marketplace ;)

You can upgrade your existing weapons(sort-of like retarded crafting), through Weapon Contracts and now also by completing Operation Breakout Missions.

Weapon Contractsare a very slow way to trade-up to a more-valuable gun, but over time you will gain more exclusive weapons. I have not tried any missions yet, so..

That's a really good idea TJB! I Have a bunch of old chainsaws, so it'd be easy to try. It might be awesome if you had 2 chainsaws, one on the left and right, so maybe you could use them to steer?

I would love to have something electric tho(electric chainsaw LOL), that trolling motor is pretty pwn Zeeba. How does the boat handle for you?

BTW, my friend just moved to CO and I could have bought one of her old kayaks for cheap, doh! ='(

It would be fun to try, just to see how gloriously it would fail..

I'M not a fishermen, but I have a big creek and canal walking distance to my home, very calm water... I'd love to try it as a new hobby!

I miss GS too, and absolutely prefer the "look/feel" any day. Plus, i was very happy with an engine you could rely 100% on brushwork and still make an amazing map. Also texlights!(light your whole map in 20 minutes? np!)

I DO NOT miss the weird ass bugs and errors, and object budget limitations.. Visleaf saw into leaf errors, invalid solids, random compile crashes, etc.

With brush/entity/resources 10-times that of GoldSrc, an Input/Output system that makes complex entity setups a breeze, not to mention some substantial tool improvements and new ones(Overlays, displacements and 3D skybox, just for starters!), and a substantial reduction compile times(for properly optimized maps), it's REALLY hard to move back once you've tasted Source SDK ;)
