we just need a vote. members can vote on which maps they think should be deleted. if enough votes get through (a certian number of votes) then a modrator is notified of the vote and can then decide what course of action to take.

also an internet cleaner would help. they go through your cache files and delete everything to recover disk space. they can also clean loads of other stuf you get from the net.

the alien lights are entities that will automatically do that. look at the bottom of the entity list for xen_light or something like that. to turn a light on and off just target it somehow. not sure about texlights, i think they have to be entities for it to work. :/

as much as i hate to say it, prickly pimple has a point floater. you came here, spammed forums, spammed the MV, over advertised your website which contained noobish reviews and compos and ripped off tutorials.

i think its time to crack down on this spam in twhl. i joined just before the wave of noobs appeared, and ill admit im no pro at mapping, but what ive seen in the vaults just comes under the heading of fossilized donkey crap. weve really been to lenient with all this. for a start we need a certian amount of time new members must wait until they can post maps, and a limit of how many the can post per day. being a little stricter in thread deletings would go down a treat too.

playing and judging have nothing to do with each other. a player could say "wow, cool laser!" but a mapper would know its just 1 entity, and theres nothing special. if you dont know how to map you wont see how hard the mappers have worked because you have'nt worked that hard and known what its like.
you have'nt truly worked your ass off on a map yet. can we see some screenies?

learn to map well before starting a compo. Read every tutorial on here, vlatitude and snarkpit on hl mapping then create something truly spectacular. Spend weeks or even months perfecting each individual entity and object until it is completely 100% perfection. Then release the map and build a new one with just as much effort put in.
