i think hes taking his website too far. hes trying to become the center of a community witout realizing its already been done. and it really is a bit noobish. seen minimicus's review? "its awesome! the shrinking is awesome!" he should focus more on mapping and take a look at other peoples websites to see what he should have on them.

ministeve . ill mostly be playing svencoop but i may take a break and go play some hl or opfor deathmatch. i never play cs. i uninsalled it for 3 reasons.

1. it took up 1gb of space on my comp where i couldve had more important things.
2. its overpopulated with hacking 10-13 year olds screaming down the microphone at you for killing them and typing in crappy 1337-speak.
3. it sucks.

if you want to make a mod dont do it when youve been a member for 5 days. really. we all passed that stage where we dreamt of making our own mod. it takes a long time to fully understand limitations of the engine, full understanding of entities, scripting and many other skills. as for coding it will definetly take a long time to learn. as in a few years. modelling is another trickyone where you need alot of practise. i wouldnt try making a mod yet. ive been here almost a year and i still wouldnt be albe to make a full mod. mods on this scale would also need a full team, and not just 1 man doing everything.

and back on topic, this compo looks crap. it can be anything, as long sa its got something scripted in it. we can use custom content. why dont we just submit an old mod we made?

gensurf? sry, if your making a cave in hammer the only way i know to do it is hours of piecing together every brush. if youre looking for help with gensurf, try their site. and if youre as noobish as you say then try laying off the advanced stuff till you got more knowledge if the engine and suchlike.

the reason its not making the bsp is because you have an error :P

just remove the brush(es) causing all the trouble and it should compile fine.

use the arch tool. or make a cylinder and vm brushes around it as shown in the vm tutorials.
