Zeeba, i have thought all of that out. I have one bombzone where the CT's can get there first and post, but only by a few seconds (1-3), the terrorists, if they go the fast way, have the higher ground, but if the CT's want to flank, they need to walk all the way around the map. - Advantage to terrorists for mid access, and Bombsite A assaulting.

HOWEVER
bombsite B is CT's spawn and is only accessed by 2 areas, but if the T's get lucky, and take mid all the way through, it might be unguarded if the CT's all rush A, or take the western path south (as seen in my layout, CT spawn is north, T's, south.)

I've thought about the layout for a while, and it seems to work. so i'm just praying it does.

im not even going to have time to playtest.
i'm probably only 30% done.
havent even touched lighting...

most of the stuff i was doing was balancing with bots on hard and letting them play 100 rounds. it seems balanced.. it was a 55-45 CT's to T's, that's good enough for me.

again. way too much of an ambitious project. :(

My camera has a built-in miniature effect, but the results aren't half as good as that. I say you did quite a nice job, you should be proud

you didnt copy the path_track to re-trigger the same multi-manager did you?

Ok in looking at your problem, the Train triggers the light to turn on after 2 seconds ... that's fine.. but the camera is on the same path so when it hits C2, it's re-triggering that same multimanager to turn OFF the light.

So there's 2 options here:
1) Make a separate path for the camera

2) use a trigger_relay to target the light to make sure it only turns ON

I really don't know if that's a good challenge. because if you really want to make a GOOD map its going to take longer than a week to make. I'd say one map every 2 weeks at LEAST

Hey everyone!
First of i would like to thank everyone who has participated in the Secret Santa. Unfortunately there was about a 50% completion ratio for the maps. This is due to many factors, I'm sure: The new compo was announced about 3 days after i gave a due date for these maps. Many of you are in school, and this was the time of year for finals and such, The holiday season is a very busy time, and your immediate friends and family must take priority over your online interactions.
Secondly, I've said that i was going to try to cover for the people who couldn't enter. Sadly, this did not happen because of all the reasons mentioned before, AND quite frankly, i did not expect so many people to drop out. :(

The people who have made a map and received a map:
-Archie
-C Striker
-Scotch
-doggybag
-X-LAyer

The people who have made a map and have NOT received one in return:
-Jeffmod
-Urby
-Captain Terror

Some people got lucky, some people got unlucky, some people got really lucky (One member received 2 maps somehow - I'm still figuring that one out - both have not been delivered yet, however)

Anyway, I believe that members on the second list (mappers & un-receivers) deserve some sort of recognition for their efforts.

CT, Urby, Jeff, PM me - I have presents for you :glad:

There are some people who unfortunately did not recieve gifts :( I'm sorry about that. But it's the spirit of giving that counts.
I was going to try to cover those who were supposed to recieve something but I could not.
I did manage to get one done, however.

Figure 8, chokepoints, no camping spots with only 1 vulnerable direction... doors that open REALLY fast, or no doors at all, stuff to hide behind...

Well it's not shared, it has all the information about who can map for what, who can receive for what, what the assignments are, what the map links from my host are..

so to speak its proprietary information ;)

everything's all organized, don't you worry. I've checked this thread 6x over to make sure i have everything straight.

And it's a bit late for the receive list - your author has probably already started his map

I understand the holidays are a busy time for multiple reasons.... Finals, the compo was announced... family, friends, work etc..

I need to stop exploring my temple and actually finish the exterior. If I take all the torches out of the top floor, endermen ALWAYS spawn there. Problem is killing them before they tele outside or to my caverns.

By the way I have a cave spider spawner in my basement. Just follow the signs.

I've been working on a few random ones myself. Kinda expecting a small handful of people to not be able to enter. I have ideas for 4 maps laid out and about 40% of the first map complete. I tend to go overboard with fancy entity setups.... So that always takes a while.
