Aye, deleting your clientregistry.blob should fix most problems with Steam, but always make a backup of the .blob file before you delete it!

Oh yeah, create their AI. Best solution ever. But pretty hard for someone who has never coded in C++ before. So that won't work.

Best alternative solution i think, would be to use monster_generic's for those models, and use scripted sequences to mimic any AI.

Well, you need to have the toggle flag checked, and the env_beams needs a name. If you trigger the beam, it should turn off.

Your env_beam needs a name, if you plan to trigger it or not, it must have a name.

The complicated way is to use sentence sets. Also, you can use this to play music (throught the HEV Voice system, kinda like an HEV audio player grin - :D) alot better than the double ambient_generic way. look up sentences if your interested in that.
Sounds pretty logic to me. I think you'll get the best results with this technique. But you need to write some extra lines in the sentences.txt file.

This happends when you compile with fast vis or normal vis. Full vis will fix this, so just ignore this for now, but make sure compile with full vis when you're ready to release your map to the public.

All HLHS developers, get the basic moddir here! This is an important download!

Instructions:

Download and extract it to a temporary location. Then you can just copy your own HLHS content into the new clean moddir, and use this. Don't forget to copy the whole moddir into your Half-Life folder, and backup your own moddir! In case you overwrite/delete anything.

muzz, did you locate the physics code?

Are those texturelights? Cuz by default they are not. If you make a texture light of it, you'll het much smoother lighing.
