Its quite possible I won't be mapping for HL after Alpestrine. I got a nice and friendly email from Acclaim saying that I would be a great addition to their team. I would post the entire email here but its got some confidential info involving the project, which means I need to start immediately.

I'll still hang around TWHL though, its for the win! So I've decided to offer the community a surprise like no other...

I feel like mapping something outside of my other projects. Take a needed break from everything and do something new. Ya know the feeling, don't ya?

I've been scratching off some level abstracts and I was hoping of putting out another map like Sancefar or Poison Garden but not so out of control with crap.

What do you guys think? Take another stab at it?

Ok, everything is on hold until my new schedule sets in.

Also, i'm exploring the basics and elements of level design again. Just trying to improve. More than likely, a map will come out of no where from what I'll learn.

Maya (the 3DS Max alternative) is now in my posession. Its a bit different, but its rendering power stoops max by 10. Sky boxes will get sexier, and modelling quality will increase a load if it exports to Max so i can format for HL.

Things are looking up for once. Even though my day today was nothing less than fucking shit bad.

I thought I could post this. I this image is huge, but its better than a dozen of them.

I was working on a "Return to Castle Rimrook" map but the level of detail is too nuts.

I could save this for source, or just convert it to a max scene that can be rendered in crazy detail. I think that would be more fun.

Max9 has some awsome tools to work with, but theres a catch...

THE FRIGGIN HL PLUGINS DON'T WORK FOR IT! no hl models for anyone until something about it can be done. Hopefully this is a slight delay.
