Well now...Today is the last day of summer for me. What a long summer that was. Well in theory it was. From March to near the end of September...But it sure didn't feel long. Maybe because I wasted it day in and day out on the PC...

Either way it will finish soon and tomorrow is the dawn of a new era. For tomorrow I will be going to my first day at...UNIVERSITY :o

I'm a little nervous about it. The first time I've done the whole new friends / new location thing. But I am finally learning something I enjoy and the free time I'll have  I can map forever ;O

In other news TF2 comes out tomorrow and I wont be getting it for this PC. It has come to the point where trying to play it is difficult with the constant lag spikes. So after 3 years I will now be replacing this PC with a more up to date one. Also I'll be recording Episode 2 and I suppose Portal for those who enjoyed my Episode 1 vids. I promise to use a better program this time so better quality.

And finally I've been working on my site again. I added a hover mouse feature so you can preview before clicking. I also updated my bio and I will hopefully update the Resume later on. All that is left after that is to implement the pop-up window feature containing more info on the maps and I need to add more content as time goes on.

It has been a good summer. Hope you have another good year. Not long till 2008 :D

Im not dead, its just not really any mapping related things have gone on. I would work on maps but since its the starting of the school year im into makeing computer art currently. As the year for school progresses though, eventualy I will be back into mapping but currently my skill is set on School, and Computer Art.

No Funny Force is NOT dead, its just basicly on a hold until near the starting of summer, then It will be worked on again. Even though Funny Force has parts that I dont consider Funny, im am still going to make the mod with as many funny ideas that people will laugh at.

The CSS map I ocasionaly work on is called de_devistation. Yes my previous journals talked about the map, but the map is sort of on hold until I learn more about the SDK mapping in how to make it look really good an still the right kind of areas for Snipeing, Camping, etc.

Also, I may be changing the story for when I make Independent Force. I have had the idea of makeing you just a normal citizen outside of blackmesa, a teacher at a school when chaos starts because of the black mesa insident. Even though yes this would mean thier would be no training course and a question of what weapons and how he knows how to use them and about combine and all such other crap of that, I will recreate Independent Forces story into a correct and as simple story as possible that I can.

Mapping has been on a dead stop lately. School started and made me a bit depressed, but right now im really involved in Counter Strike Source, I'm a regular on the server Mad Irishmen, and im probably close to being an admin when they start recruiting, scence i have such a good rep in the community. :) But I've had alot of mapping ideas, school just makes me not want to map yet. :(

I was just looking at some vids on Youtube and you know how related videos tend to drag you away from the main video you just watched. Well eventually I was taken to videos of Banjo Kazooie. A classic game for those who know and I remembered the secret eggs and the ice key that did nothing in the first game. Supposedly Rare was going to use a feature on the N64 that would store the memory of the eggs and key you collected for 30 seconds after you turn the game off. You would have to quickly change the game to Banjo-Tooie and the big secrets would be revealed. Turns out that was scrapped but the secrets were left in. There is ths big debate about what the big reward was and after looking around it turns out a Banjo-Kazooie 3 is being made :o

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banjo-Kazooie_3

And at the bottom they say they will reveal what the secret was. :o

Oh and heh at this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rpPnK2Bl0Pk&mode=related&search=

Won't be mapping for a bit but instead I'm going to be drawing up ideas for the trap map because the other one I HAD didn't look too good! So don't expect me to be submitting any maps any time soon. :P Anyway while I'm gone watch these vids:

Node 6 is dead. If anyone wants to use it as a base to polish it up and release as their own, I posted the RMF in the unfinished vault. With the Map of the Month thing going, its worth a shot but it won't be mine. 6D is looking more and more promising, and the hype on that is making it more important that this map. So when I do map, it will be for 6D.

I have a severe abdominal pain.

It started last Friday, and it comes and goes. Now, it's just there all the time.

I got so bad last night that I was sweating beads and pretty much stayed up all night due to the pain.

This was after I worked for 30-hours straight in the hospital.

I went to the emergency room today. After they ran a shit load of tests, everything came back normal.

So I am diagnosed with acid reflux.

I never imagined that reflux could be so painful.

It was also strange to be on the other side of the bed, receiving medical interventions instead of ordering them.

My stomach is still hurting a lot, but at least I know that I don't need surgery to fix whatever I have.

Being sick sucks.

Well, that was quite a holiday. Going to school whilst jet lagged Isn't an enjoyable experience. I've managed to stick to normal sleeping hours thus far (with the help of my companion the alarm clock and a hyper dog). I suspect that by the time I reach the weekend I'll be so tired I'll sleep all the way through it! Or at least thats what my uncle claims will happen to me.

Anyway, what happened in Canada? Not much, three weeks and I can only name four major events. Going to Grosse mountain (I think that is how it is spelt), going to some place called Sheriden lake (no power boats or any working motors so no water sports, just rowing, which got boring 4 days into the week stay at the lake) It go so boring there that the only fun thing to do was to make water balloons and pelt them at other people, not that it lasted for long.

After that, We went to the PNE (Pacific something Exhibition) Which was the best day there, we managed to get there on opening day so we got free entry. I managed to go onto most of the rides, including a rickety wooden roller coaster which at the end I felt like I'd broken my neck and some other ride kinda like a twister, but going up and down and spinning the cars vertically as well, which made me want to throw up.

And then finally went to a town called Oosoyoos which was very fun. Even if all we did was lounge around and talk to some friends my aunts' fiance had. One of them was veeery funny.

So, that just about wraps it up for me.
