[EDIT] I LIIVEEE. Takes some cake MNON MNOM MNOM

Nothing serious happened. At least in my area. The river didn't pass the dams in my area, but some of them were damaged a little more down the stream. On the upper part of the stream, a few tens of kilometers away there were serious damages and some people died. Some people told me this morning they saw pigs and household items floating on the river.
I'm still a little alarmed though because upstream the river there is a barrage that's now overwhelmed by waters... and this is the main reason I was very frightened yesterday(well, today at 3 am :P).

I anyway went for a walk on the shore of the river, and took the camera with me. I'm now processing the video. I'll post it later. I wasn't amazed by how deep it looks now, but I was amazed when I saw a lot of bent and torn apart grass near the dams. Well, that means there really was a flood(we are lucky that we have tall dams especially for floods like this, but that's only in our village...).

I couldn't fell asleep. Something seemed wrong.

I went to the toilet. My toilet's window is facing the river(well, the river is at about 200-300 m I guess). I can hear it how furious it is( and our river is a fast type one, when it grows it's very dangerous).
Then I could hear a siren in the village. After that, at the emergency tower( yes we have loud emergency towers) I could hear a voice warning us of flood.
It should occur at 4 am.
Well, T-25 minutes :\.

I'm really frightened because people near the river are being evacuated. I anyway live in a block of apartments, but it still scares me. From what old people say, it's not something to joke with.

Well, I hope nothing bad happens... if something bad happens though, I hope I can save at least my computer tower. Or at least the Hard-Disks.

So like I said in the ShoutBox, a huge lighting(it happened in the back of the flat, so I didn't actually catch the bolt in the footage) scared the shit out of me.

Well, holidays are officially here. Today was the last day of school. Friday will be the ending festivity, then 3 months of so-called freedom comes.
I say "so-called" because, strangely, even though I can't wait for the holidays, I know I only have 2 years of school left. Then the stress of exams will come, going to a college, not being sure of having a job in the future... ahh. It's becoming really hard to enjoy the moment and not think of tomorrow.

I borrowed some books from the school library over the holidays:Big Bang(it's actually a history of the understanding of the universe) and The elegant Universe about the theory of strings(because it has always been a mystery to me, and I want to understand them at least a bit).

Holidays also open the opportunity of experiments to me :D. I'm currently researching some ways of producing good rocket fuel with materials around the house. The current combination I'm trying is the substance from the match heads with sugar. I only tried it once, but I want to try some more, to see what proportions are good. I also think I should use powdered sugar.
Of course, it would be cool if I had some potassium nitrate or sodium nitrate. But that's hard to find these days (because of the terrorists, we who have good-intended hobbies have to suffer...).

Made a mini-project for school today that I also posted on youtube.

It's with the beautiful landscapes from my village(ok it's part from the village but maybe 2-3 km away from the center of it).

I know, the text is in romanian, but the ideea is that you should skip those parts and just see some of the landscapes from my area :).

Things are getting worse in my country. It's so bad that even us, pupils, risk to not finish the school year.
We only have 3 weeks of school left, but starting from 1 june nobody will put marks in the catalog(you know, that massive book that holds the pupils's marks- idk the name in english).
This situation is unclear, most of us(including me) already have enough marks to have their averages(again, idk the name in english, but it's basically... the "average" at each subject) closed. The problem is- will they close our averages before 1 june or let them not closed?

All this is happening after the government borrowed a large amount of money from IMF and now they have to put drastic measures in application.
One of these measures is reducing the by 25% the professors salaries and by 15% the pensions.
Well, I guess professors just couldn't stand this started revolts.

Oh, but the situation in Greece is much worse...

You know, when Ceausescu was at power, through his ideas and powerful industrialization, our country reached the point where it had no debts.
I know, conditions were much worse then, but I think this was only until Romania could be a true independent country. After that, living conditions could rise. But oh well, he was killed in 89'. The so-called democracy(I have to say I'm in a neutral position about these regimes, none of them are perfect) succeeded to bring Romania to its knees. From a strong exporter, we now import almost all of the products. Industries have fell, and everything that's left from them is stolen. And I strongly believe the politicians are a bunch of wealth hunters( big salaries for sleeping in the Parliament ?)

The most painful thing is that us, normal people, can change nothing. It's all driven by leaders- and most of them are corrupt.

Something fishy happened today. And a little macabre too.

Yesterday night I saw some really fucked-up pictures on the ED "Offended" page. If you don't know about it, don't search. My mom saw me and she said "See? I told you, you should be a doctor if you can watch pictures like this!". Well, I didn't feel really bad anyway.

So today I went with my dad at my grandmother, which is 4km far from my village. When I arrived there, she wasn't at home. She went with the sheep on the fields...
When I go in the yard I notice a lot of white feathers. I pass near the objects without seeing them. One moment later(was in the garden at this point), my dad shouts after me to come quick.

This is fucking disturbing, especially because seeing people without heads last night(real photos). We found 2 hens without their head. And 2 more that were stabbed near the heart. A polecat attacked them, I think. Macabre is that it just took off their head and sucked the blood(there was NO BLOOD):

Moments later the dog barks loudly. "What's wrong Limo?". Then I get scared to death as a big(my first perception was that it was an airplane) crow(or another black type of bird...) passes over me.

Later, when I wanted to refuel the car, I accidentally poured(the canister was at head-level) gasoline on my face, and it went into my right eye. Well, I run at the sink and applied lots of water, but the burning sensation was intense. Fortunately, I have nothing now.

Luckily I'm not a person that believes in superstitions, but it was kind of a fucked-up day. Not all of it, I also enjoyed filming the nature :D.

Today is a day like any other day for me, although a little more special.
I'm now with one year older, I reached 17.
Yay.
