Stalker: Call of Pripyat.
This game is addicting! Just traveled across the underground tunnels to Pripyat( arrived single- the rest of my squad died). First mission in Pripyat, 3 left to kill from the ambush(while the stupid allied NPCs die) and I die.
Quitting because of this, after 5 hours of playing.

Ladies and gentlemen, my new special place:
I just bought a Philips 23" monitor, and as I was trying to find a place for my old monitor an idea struck me: why not use them both? It's funny that this desired form and performance of my desktop took 3 years to develop. Little savings, little upgrades here and there... Patience is a virtue. Although a HD4850 and an Intel E6500 might seem old, that's what the money gives me access to.
This might be useful as I just cooked a mod idea and how I will handle it in train trip today( things like these always happen when I get bored and the imagination starts wondering around...). It's nothing sure though, this mod was supposed to see the light of the... hammer months ago, at the end of spring. And it never happened. I just have the idea and have to work on it. Only a seed that needs to be grown...
Now about that monitor: It's a W-LED 23", 1920x1080 res, 5 ms display. In some respects, my old monitor seems to be better. It's either that or I got too used to it, but I have the feeling that the new monitor is not showing quite natural colors, although photos, videos and games( I played Portal 2 at 1080p, wonderful!) look good. But hey, at least it only consumes half of my monitor and weighs waaay less. The cost? Almost 150€, savings of about 5 months.

I am home again. I can't express my happiness, especially towards the fact of having privacy again and a non-smelling toilet.

I'm going on a little 'holiday' for about a week. I'm currently hospitalized for frontal sinusitis treatment. I really hope the treatment will go well and I won't require surgery. I'm really scared of that. It's the first time in my life when I have to be hospitalized.
The thing is, I don't quite have all the sinusitis symptoms besides the swelling of one sinus. It doesn`t hurt( yyonly when pressed hardly), and I don't have fever either. That's what scares me, I hope it's not something else.
If all goes well I'll be back in about a week.

I just bought some kind of alcohol bitters drink from the pharmacy. The formula for the herbal essences is almost the same with the Swedish Bitter.
It's the first time I get to drink such a beverage. The taste is awesome, and it leaves a pleasant aroma in my mouth after I drink it.

Apparently, the person who made Mistake( a HL1 mod), is the leader of a new project about to be released: Grey.
This time the mod is a Source mod, and again will be a total conversion.

Just bought Half-Life:Blue Shit.
I enjoyed the game although it felt more boring than a free mod available on planetphillip. That, or maybe I'm just 10 years late...
The problem is that there are not a lot of interesting puzzles to solve other than some pushing of buttons. Sometimes it gets frustrating, and I got the impression that instead of putting more effort into the strategy/puzzle aspect, the designers preferred to just throw in hoards of marines...
All in all, I feel I just wasted the money I could have used to buy 10 breads, on a mod that I could've just read the story of on Wikipedia...
I also have to add that I think I'm going to give up getting involved in anything that's related to GoldSource. Even playing mods( well, not entirely, there are still some really good mods out there that still deserve to be played).
It's just that the engine is too old for today's standards, and I'm sick and tired too see the same old textures or low quality textures over and over again. Not mentioning that everything that has to resemble with a physical prop in motion has to be scripted.
Who knows, maybe we're going to be talking about source like this 5 years in the future too. Or maybe Valve will finally release a damn continuation to the half-life story, with an engine upgrade coming along.
