Another thing I just noticed is that (studio) tags in the FGD don't add a browser button to the entity property in Sledge, which means you have to type in the filepath manually instead of searching and clicking the model/wav.

Fair enough. Need to make sure all users can run it.
Another feature request that may have already been mentioned (And I know something similar was suggested by rufee) is brush dimensions on the 2D grids when creating or resizing brushes, like in Hammer 4. The lack of that in 3.5 is one the main reasons goldsource mapping became painful for me. What can I say? I got spoiled by Source.

Also, not to rush you or anything, but how's model support coming along?
I find myself suddenly inspired to maybe get a goldsource map going. Though I'm not yet sure of what it will be, aside from Co-op.

I believe he meant your work, specifically. So productions you have been involved with.

Here's a question: Does it need to be summoner's rift specifically, or just a MOBA setting? I think it would be a lot easier (not to mention less of a legal grey area) for you to use DOTA content in SFM, since it's already compiled for Source.

...Wouldn't it just be easier to drag that side of the brush out the way it's usually done, rather than pressing the extra key? (And going to the trouble of adding the function)
Combine that with clip, and you can easily do exactly the same things you can do with Blender's extrude.

On that note, can we also get an option to reset to block after inserting a cylinder/arch/wedge/etc? I usually just want the one complex solid at any given time, but I also usually forget to put it back to block when I start making the next brush.

As much as I love Valve, I'm very disappointed both the broken SDK and the slow rate at which they're fixing (or, rather, not fixing, apparently) the problems.

Hm.
I'd still say it has to do with the Steampipe updates, since they moved all the content around on us. The search paths under the "all_source_engine_paths" variable/constant/whatever are likely no longer valid. I guess just copy over any missing data from the VPKs for now. Assuming you can open the new version of the VPK packages with the latest GCFscape.

Valve made quite a mess, didn't they?

Well, it looks like you need to make a .vtf with that name. I think it's the little box in the lower-right corner that says "Loading" (As the name implies)
Not sure why, perhaps it's because of the steampipe update, but the SDK must not have copied over all the files you needed when it set up the mod folder for you.
EDIT: Actually, check your mod's gameinfo.txt and make sure it's mounting the SDK content properly, because if it's doing that, you shouldn't actually need your own vgui materials.

I think the "models" in the compile logs are just the brushes that are giving errors. It's odd that worldspawn is being referenced, though, as that's just the entity that everything that's not an entity gets tied to on compile. (IIRC)

Something's going on with your brushwork. As tet suggested, check for problems. Either you have invalid solids, or something's wrong with your RMF.

Following the destruction of the J.I.F Rig and slaughter of all hands by as-of-yet unknown forces and the following discovery of the wreck by the Skrusians, the poets, authors, and bards of the world, drunk, disheveled, and disheartened, pooled their funds to buy a peninsula, which they named the Republic of Writers. It is from here that they aim to continue writing their works, using each other for inspiration rather than the legends of the past that were previously mined at the J.I.F.

So far this new method has just resulted in a population boom and a new, embryonic form of music known as "Rock and Roll", but certain members of the RoW are confident that their greatest works are just around the corner.

Its major imports are food and fresh water, because it's in the middle of nowhere and the miners need to eat too.

I don't know exactly why this happens, but I think it has something to do with the bounding box of the entity/model you're placing. It happens when you try to place items too close to a wall, as well. Goldsource is...quirky like that.

While HL is notable primarily for the game, I'd have to disagree slightly as well on that point. GoldSource implemented a lot of new features, such as skeletal animation, animated and dynamic mouth movement, and 32-bit lighting, that weren't present in the build of Quake it was based off of, and most of those features had never really been seen before in a game, period.

It'll be forgotten, but it really did add a lot back in the day.
