Supposedly, your unlocks are based purely on time played. I can't believe it, seeing as how I played for 4 hours today and got 1 thing.

Bollocks, Valve. Honestly.

They should make the headgear random, and give the unlocks to everyone. This solves all problems.

Unlocks suck ass now. There's no way to know how to get them, they just appear.

I played for 3 hours today, never got one. Some guy comes in and within 15 minutes has has 3.

Blog isn't updated yet, but the update dropped: http://store.steampowered.com/news/2529/

I freaking love this update. A lot of these updates are fixing a lot of things players wanted, and a lot more is added that's awesome.

I'd go over everything I like, but it'll end up being that entire list.

I can't wait for this update to get done, I want to play so bad. (I love Valve <3 )

I can't believe you all just overlooked barney's post. It's official, they leaked the Meet the Spy video.

Again, I'll post the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAMZOkTzvaw

Best Meet the Team video yet. This is exactly why Valve needs to make a TF2 movie of sorts.

Best update ever.

Everyone already knew the pyro was a girl when the game was released. The respawn rack gave her a purse, for fucks sake.

And if you see the before and after, it's clearly not a typo. The sentence is completely different.

Double update? Probably not. I'm guessing a Meet the Spy video.

I'd like that.

EDIT: I like eating my words.

http://www.teamfortress.com/spyupdate/english.htm

Turns out WCD is right.

The two watches sound pretty fucking awesome, honestly. They brought back the feign death from TFC. Epic.

Looking forward to that.

EDIT: One last thing-
http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/109/pyrow.jpg

The pyro is confirmed to be a girl. Removed from the post a few minutes ago.

Good stuff, Valve.

EDIT 3: Also, with the mention of the pyro being a girl, I'm kinda banking on the Meet the Pyro video being released.

If that happens this will be the best update ever.

That sounds pretty useful to me, especially for a sniper.
Something tells me you don't play enough TF2.

As soon as the back stab is done, the sniper then has two options: Attempt close sniping, or go at him with a machete.

If the wait time for spy is short enough, all's he has to do is pull out a revolver and 3 shot the sniper.

To completely get around the shield, the spy could even just 3 shot him right off the bat. It's too easy.

Day 3: Razorback revealed.

Takes the place of SMG, presumably. Stops the spy from stabbing again temporarily, one use.

Looks rather useless, honestly.

"Payload race" is announced along with 2 arena maps.

Payload race looks to be a lot of fun, especially because the carts will roll immediately back down if not touched.

The two arena maps are disappointing. No one plays the crappy gametype, so I don't get why they're pushing it.

Yah, after some consideration I see what you guys mean.

I'm not sure how good it's going to be if it arches, though. The purpose of the sniper is for pint point accuracy.

Of course that traditional sense also puts the sniper far away, and this weapon encourages close combat.

Should be interesting if they don't make it slow down enemies.

EDIT: http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=2499

Thank god.

Any experienced sniper will tell you how irritating it is when your targets keep moving around. The question is how to stop these cheaters from wind-sprinting around like they own the place. And the answer is to pin them to a wall. How? With arrows!
I took this as slowing down enemies, or completely stopping them, in the case of pinning them to a wall.

Discuss.

The Huntsman: Sounds a lot like the Sandman, which was horrible and still is horrible.

I hope they learned from their mistakes, and the arrow doesn't further ruin the game.

Alright, you're right. But these kind of stories tend to piss me off, makes me questions people's intelligence, faith in humanity, etc.

And that's usually how it goes with religion. Take Muslims for instance. Not all of them are bent on destroying America, but those irrational few can be shown to represent the whole.

I forgot to comment:
I believe religion is meant to keep people from shooting each other.
This will be the absolute only time I say this, but I agree. Not in terms of people shooting each other, but rather religion comes out of the need for morality and controlling the way people act. Not so much for sinister reasons, but for, as I said, morality issues.

It's just one of those things you go to when making a decision and assures you making a certain choice is the right one for when after you die.

That's some pretty crazy stuff.

I commend you on your actions. I hate religion for this very reason, in that people put to much decision making into their beliefs it totally clouds the truth.

Believe me when I say I'd give you a standing ovation for what you did.

It's called strength training.
