If you include the Spirit dll file in your mod, you can distribute your mod to anyone. They won't need Spirit to run it. However it must be a mod not just a bunch of maps.

Here is a fantastic site for nearly every error that Hammer and Half-Life can throw at you. Use it in the future.
Fairly obvious, you made the map without putting point entitys, like player starts. However, often this error will come up because an entity is outside the map; and other times this error will be bogus and something else lies behind it like: the "too many wads" or other odd errors, or you forgetting to export into .map format in WC, or a leak, or even a corruption of your level files! This error seems to get pulled up often for the wrong problem.

The second and third level have to match up. Check the settings for the entities. Ensure that the positioning is correct. Did you copy the level transistion that worked? If so, don't! Create a new level transistion for each change.

I am a little confused as to why it says 'D:...'
As for the error, it means you have too many models in your map, or too many brush based entities.
Use this site if you get any other errors. I hope you can understand what I said. Happy mapping! :)

Digital video editing is the only thing they can do, yet they still stuff up. Convenience to the max!
At school, I use a few macs to make videos of various occasions, etc. The school bought us this brand spanking new eMac to use as well as our other two. This particular mac came bundled with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. So I load it up eager to jump in and what do I find? Shoddy performance and a slow frame rate, even on the lowest settings! Isn't the whole point of having a game preinstalled on a machine is to demonstrate its power?

Click on Sven Co-op. There's plenty of models. You will need a Gamespy account unfortunately. They're free, but are still a pain in the arse. The queue's aren't too bad though.

That mapper used a func_conveyor to create the illusion of moving clouds. Search for 'func_conveyor' instead.

You could also create a 'box' with the mouse selection tool. Position this 'box' over the objects you wish to select. Make sure it's aligned in the three 2D views and then hit enter. Any brush in that box will now be selected.

Do you have the console activated in CS? Right click on the shortcut you use for Counter-Strike and add '-console' to the target path (after cstrike.exe). It should now read something like this:

C:SIERRACounter-Strikecstrike.exe -console
(You may also want to add -dev as well)

Now go into Counter Strike and their should be a new option (Console). Click on it. After the text comes up, type in 'map whateverthenameofyourmapis'. So if your map was called 'test1' you'd type map test1 and hit enter. This will now load your map. Make sure your map names have no spaces in them (or special characters for that matter). Also, try reinstalling Counter-Strike and Half-Life.
