Dave that's not really that unbelievable at all, so long as your keyboard is dry when you start using it again. This most definitely wouldn't be okay if your keyboard was like mine, and had backlighting, an LCD screen, memory, and some other small computer components inside it.

1. Tie the walls around the bomb site to a func_wall so that anything like bullets or the bomb explosion cant get trough (if you have any walls around there)p
So incorrect it's funny.
2. The smaller the magnitude you set the smaller the explosion.
No shit...
3. You know The crates and the stuff you tied to func_breakable witch explodes when the bomb does (that is if you have any) maybe reduce their ammount or magnitude.
See above.

Anyway, aside from that madness, World Crafter's suggestion sounds quite possible to me, seeing as several other entity properties work in this fashion.

Yeah, you should contain all your mapping/Half-Life related files onto one drive... Hammer just isn't set up to work across them.

Also, don't bother upgrading your version of ZHLT. 3.3 is the same thing as 3.4 apparently, they just relabeled it to signify that it was the final version that would be produced. Actually, for me 3.4 doesn't work, but 3.3 does. Whatever. :

Science does not have separate belief systems, and many scientists come up with theories that contradict others, so I'm not sure how you could follow science as a whole like a religion... rather you can take what you want and leave the rest. Science is NOT religion and I have personally never heard of anybody accepting it as such.

Science = Bullshit.
Now that you've said that, it's probably best you throw your computer away and go live in the wilderness, lest you contradict yourself.

While science is largely incompatible with religion, since it attempts to explain things in a logical manner, there's really no reason for anybody to hate it altogether. We quite obviously wouldn't have gotten this far in society without it...

By the way, anybody know where Scientology got its name? None of its beliefs appear to be based on science at all... more like bad science fiction movies.

No, it doesn't work. I've already tried both methods. Luke probably doesn't know that you want the player to be inside the water when you're being pushed, because his explanation doesn't lend itself to that at all...

The only thing that seems to work is when the player is either standing on the conveyor, or inside the trigger_push but not floating in the water.

Okay, but does it HAVE to be? Because I personally can't get it to work either.

If you just made the water opaque, it wouldn't really matter how deep it was supposed to be, it'd just be like you were floating on the surface.

You could try tying a huge invisible brush to a func_tracktrain (or just func_train depending on your needs) and have it push the player through the water, but I don't see why the trigger_push isn't working. I swear I've seen it before.

Just download and install Steam, then register it with it. After it's copied/downloaded or whatever it does, you won't need the WON version anymore, unless you want to just keep it for some small amount of backward compatibility (WON-only mods won't display things like menu backgrounds for Steam, but it plays the same.)

Blitzkrieg is right... I mean, the idea of terrorists has been around far longer than "fan death", and there's no question in anyone's mind that they don't exist. It's just that today in America, people seem to perceive them all as middle-eastern guys running around with AK-47's and turbans on their heads. There have been terrorists everywhere throughout history, while fan death is simply a myth.

... but man, Mythbusters has simply got to test this fan death thing.

in Model disappearing???? Post #233031
If you're running VIS, you are blocking areas in the map. This is a good thing. It keeps the w_polys and e_polys low and your map wouldn't be able to function properly without it. It's what VIS does, it's the entire reason for having it.

in Model disappearing???? Post #233028
Yeah, I've seen this before - in official DoD maps even. I think it might have something to do with the engine thinking that the model is actually out of view, so it just stops rendering it. It's probably just that the origin was within another leaf, and while the engine thought you had left it, the outer portions of the model were still visible. At least, that's my suspicion. If you could get the engine to render that area that's out of view, it'll probably be fixed.

Madcow, it's quite simple. Your plane crashes in the Atlantic and you find a manmade island of sorts with a submarine that takes you down into the underwater city called "Rapture", which happens to be falling to pieces and filled with hideous monsters. You pick up a radio very early on, and you're mostly guided through listening to the guy on the other end. He basically gives you missions.

That's a very short description of what you're doing, and goes into no detail whatsoever about the specifics.

To go on to your other questions, the gameplay is usually kind of slow paced (except maybe when you're fighting Big Daddies), though you can speed through it if you like, it just makes it harder. No, you can't do anything (this isn't GTA here), but you are given ample freedom to explore all the areas, and I believe you can travel back and forth between areas you've already been to.

Well, at least the lighting is decent. It lacks color, which really sucks, but at least it's lit in appropriate places.

in Lighting Outdoor Maps Post #232871
The only reason people use light_spot for outdoor lighting in GoldSrc is because light_environment apparently produces worse looking lighting than it. In Source, this isn't a problem, so there's no reason to have the "is sky" feature.
