Wow, loads of changes. I think my favourite is:
# Sappers attached to a teleporter automatically place another Sapper on the other end of the teleporter, if it exists.
 1. Engineers wrenching a teleporter will repair the other end as well, and remove Sappers from both if they exist.
Op4 and BS are definitely not "free". You have to buy them just like any other game. Valve are selling content and you're giving it away for free? How is that not a problem? Also, just because other people did it doesn't mean that it's right.

That was probably the SDK update where they changed the app id that mods should use. That was a quick 2-character edit in a notepad file to fix. No big deal. And, that doesn't matter anyway because that concerns Source mods, not GS.

As for your "Op4 mappack", don't do that. Distributing content that you don't own (i.e. not made yourself) is illegal.

Snow map looks rather nice.

EDIT: @WC: You can never have enough variety. Don't like one game mode? Don't play it. This way you have some choices, and gameplay doesn't get repetitive.

Omega drivers were all the rage ten years ago. Nowadays nobody uses them because the vendor drivers are better. I recommend that you do not use them unless you get stuck in some sort of time warp and get sent back to 1999.

To correct Tet, they are not open source, and they don't differ from the vendor drivers at all. They just provide some registry changes that allowed some different customisation features. They are also very old and should never be used, when more up-to-date drivers are available.

Omega drivers won't solve the Hammer problem any more than installing old versions of official drivers will.

This happens if you have your WAD files on a different hard drive/partition as your compile tools. If they're on the same drive, I don't know what's going on. But yeah, you also have too many WAD files listed.

PNG is a lossless format, but it is also compressed. BMP is lossless and uncompressed. This means that you shouldn't ever have a reason to upload a bitmap image to the Internet. A plethora of free (and not-so-free) image editors/viewers can easily open a PNG and save it as a bitmap if you need it for some reason (like old programs that don't accept PNG), but on the Internet it is a forbidden format!

The easiest solution is to put the compilator/build tools on the same drive as the WAD files. It's a Hammer bug, I think. Hammer saves the path of the WAD without the drive letter, assuming that it's all on the same drive.

Is your compilator on a different hard drive? Edit your .map file and replace the file paths in the "wad" section to the proper location of the files.

It's not the fullbright that does it, it's the leak. When there's a leak, VIS doesn't run, and VIS is what tells the engine what is visible at any time. Without VIS, the whole map draws at the same time, instead of only what's visible. This will make the map run slow.

Where are you learning this junk from? main() is a special function that can't be called from within your program. If you want this, define it as another function, and call it from main().

If you're using Steam you'll need to use GCFScape to extract the .pak file from the game's GCF file (located in your steam folder, in the steamapps directory.) GCFScape can also read .pak files, so it can be used for both purposes.
