I hate those dreams when you can never win.

@Archie: Shit! People born in 1993 are 18 already?! Makes me feel OLD.

What is this, actual product photography?

Getting better. Needs improvement on lighting though. But it's good. You're getting the idea.

It is still easier to make maps small, period. After all, the result will be the same.

You could add a scale multiplier for model based entities, that way you could make Barneys and grunts and headcrabs smaller with little effort.

If you still prefer to do things the most complicated way, go ahead. It's your mod after all.

in thread response idea Post #297891
I just read this. The solution to an email for every response, would be having the system store the date/time when the last email was sent, and the last time you visited the thread. That way, it could send you just one email (at the cost of not knowing beforehand how many replies there were, but I still prefer it that way) until you visit again.

The same could be done to journals and maps.

If I had my way I'd throw out all of the immigrants who doesn't follow the law. That doesn't mean that I'd throw someone out for speeding, or shoplifting, but for more serious crimes, or repetition of criminal activity.
I'd either do the same or vote for you to do it :P

Sadly, it probably isn't that easy.

You have to also include the ~ in the lights.rad file. There's no other secret to it.

Have you looked at this?

There may be enough room to hold a lot more people, but we need that room to hold the food and resources the current population needs. If we use that space in more population, where would we store/harvest food and resources for all?

Why don't you just make maps small rather than somehow coding the player bigger? You wouldn't need to code at all.

Light-emitting textures must have a name starting with a "~" (i.e "~lightfixture")

Rename your texture and come back if it still doesn't work. Also, I'd give it more than 1000 for it to be noticeable, more like 2000-3000 and start tweaking from there.

I don't know, I'm fairly certain that a func_wall provides a climbable area even if there are no solid brushes nearby; because it's the func_wall itself that becomes solid, even if invisible.

What Archie said.

Until I was about 5-6, both my parents were unemployed. Did they go out and trash the city to loot what we needed? No. Did they demand benefits? No. Did they go out assaulting little elder ladies? No. They went out every day to get a job. My father had a shitton of crappy jobs, he worked his ass off 18 hours a day to pay the bills and maintain the family. Being poor and unemployed is not an excuse for this kind of behaviour.

Still, I don't think it's related. These people are doing it for the hell of it.

Actually I agree with having the Army called in if police force is insufficient. They're not protesting police repression anymore, so having them retreat will do nothing to improve the situation. Rioters would then be completely free to do whatever they please, because it's clearly not about police anymore. Control measures must be taken or it'll get out of hand and next thing you know they're burning down Windsor with the Queen inside (whether she deserves it or not is a different matter :P ).

If what you want is a ghost train to run over people, you don't have to make it non-solid, you just have to render it semi-transparent with an env_render :P

Do you mind if I ask about the context of your intended setup? Perhaps there's another way to do what you want.

QFT.

Also this is the reason I barely ever carry anything. I got sort of mugged not to long ago, and I was carrying absolutely nothing so the guy had to walk away empty handed. I'm saying "sort of" because the guy didn't get aggressive, he didn't get past the point of just being an oddly persistent beggar. Heh. Idiot.

While I agree with Zeeba that an extra measure wouldn't be too bad, I also agree with Captain that security on campus should also be improved somehow.

I have a simple question with a not so simple answer.

Right now I have an AVPRO ADVE-9021 Deluxe, which is complete shit and I'm going to flush it down the toilet. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't pick up anything from plugged-in cables. Sometimes it causes a bluescreen+reboot the moment I plug anything on it. Needless to say, that makes it anything but reliable. So when it pisses me off enough, I'll post it on ebay or something and get a working one.

Does anyone know a good video capture card? Because all I seem to come across on the market is worse than this.
