Okay... and tell me again why you want this "game"?

Die for your rights? Stop being so dramatic. Even if something happens that drastically, which I really can't believe at all considering how slowly things usually play out here, it won't be any time soon. If there is a change, it's going to happen very slowly over time. No government is stupid enough to think that everyone is simply going to accept a change as sudden as the one you're predicting. They'd never be able to do it, and if this is really what they're planning, I'm sure they know it. There really is no one day where everything is going to change, and there's a reason things don't happen that way. this isn't a movie we're talking about, it's real life.

You guys may be on to something, but then it's also possible you're just fooling yourselves. "Waking up" to me does not mean frequenting sites dedicated to these theories, but searching for the facts yourself. You really are tricking yourself if you think Infowars.com or Prisonplanet.com are any less biased than the major news networks. They all have their reasons for reporting what they report in whatever way they report it, and they all have their opinions. Labeling any one source of information as "the only truth" is just plain foolish. No matter where you're getting your news, it's all going to be tainted by the agenda of whoever is writing it, and if it's the same agenda that you have, then you're just being told what you want to hear, nothing more.

Sigh

All this whining will not speed up the arrival of media, you know.

M_gargantua, are you finished with your chapter, quitting, or just waiting?

Just so you know, there aren't really any young players here, unless you consider the occasional 12 year old to be "young".

But those are some nice little maps you've got there. not sophisticated at all, and horribly blocky in places, but from a quick look at them in BSPViewer, it seems you've really captured the feel of Mario 64 well... if that's what you were trying to do.

We aren't actually that disorganized, you know. :

Rimrook is right though, a video would be a good idea.

All screens will really do is show you how good the mapping is, not the gameplay. But what do you mean there's no screens to look at? Have you been living under a fucking rock?

Tetsu0, if we really need testers, we can always ask other team members to help out. However, I can't see that being a problem.

You don't think stuff like this should be agreed upon and standardized throughout the entire mod? I mean, we have to display the name of the chapter at the start of it, right? If it was seemingly random whether it showed up or not, that wouldn't make much sense...

I realize we're trying to allow each mapper to have their own style, and show it however they choose, but I'm afraid this is just going to end up as an incohesive mess of well made maps that are trying desperately to fit together, but don't quite make it. If there's nothing to pull the maps together and define them as a whole, then how is this going to be anything other than a glorified map-pack with a central theme and a disorganized plot that's riddled with little holes?

I don't know, maybe I should just get back to working on my chapter and stop concerning myself so much with the logistics of the project, but I'm having a hard time ignoring this stuff. I'm not one to simply let these things slide.

It also browses to TWHL.

You know, by the time it's unsupported, I doubt I'll be mapping for HL1 anymore.

Sajo, please stop being an ass. It doesn't matter if he's the mod leader or not, he can state his opinion however he finds necessary. He isn't in such a high position that he has to carefully edit what he's going to say in case he offends somebody.

By the way, I have XP Pro on my laptop, but never found any big advantage to it, and the few features that Pro provides don't matter much to me. My copies are both legit.

Pfff... I don't care whether the swear filter is implemented or not, but some of you guys obviously never read what I was proposing. Of course it wouldn't be permanent, or turned on by default. I mean, what would TWHL be like if there were no swear words for anybody? In a word, shit.

It was just a suggestion. Frankly, it wouldn't have any impact on me, but I was thinking of the people who might find it useful.
