Do you by any chance happen to have a mental illness? I believe so...
Could have something to do with that, or the fact that you bumped a thread from January of 2006 while not even answering anything, but I will indeed leave you alone.

Edit: Shut it, Caboose.

I've never seen a better looking map that uses the original textures for something other than the Black Mesa style. The last screen appears to have custom textures, though.

No Strider, but Penguinboy can annoy me beyond belief with all his anti-American crap. It's not like this is the first time.

I'm also tired, because I slept three hours last night, got up at 5:30 AM, and spent the whole day sweating my ass off while hiking around a near deserted island. I only got through the day by loading up on a ton of caffeine and sugar. As you might have guessed, I'm extremely cranky now.

I think it's time to use the :zonked: and :tired: emoticons.

You all are the saddest bunch of fucks. Nobody got that this was a joke?

What I said about Australia was primarily directed at Penguinboy, since he spends most of his free time searching the internet to find Americans that he can call fags, and telling everybody how amazing he thinks his country is. This is on par with the "patriotic" rednecks that go around yelling how amazing they think America is, which I find quite ironic.

And who the hell is TJB anyway?

I wouldn't have volunteered if I thought this would distract me from working on Hostage Situation.

By the way, you should get a Mod DB page for this. I can see it becoming rather popular.

1. Not in 1.6.

2. Because they coded it that way.

3. The point of view is set lower than in Half-Life, which is why you must compensate for it when mapping for CS. It actually allows you to make slightly larger areas.

What really annoys me is when you hear people telling newcomers to CS mapping that they should make their doors 64x96 when it should really be 48x80, or stairs 16 units high, which looks like a small desk, but still acts as a step.

in Half-Life: Hostage Situation Post #222644
Well, if that's so, my only requests are that you fix the bulging block on the top to look how it's supposed to, and make that odd teardrop shaped switch protrude from the body. That would make a ton of difference.

I still say you should make some real textures for the Mk23 though. They're all flat and dull at the moment, and look completely temporary.

I say again, this has nothing to do with the maps or the compile tools, it's your compile settings/game configurations. Check them, make sure they're right, etc. etc.

No, admittedly it doesn't. :

Is this the fabled Mini-14?
User posted image
I don't see the resemblance. It looks much more like some kind of messed up AK than that.

I'm not saying it looks like a really bad model, but if you could improve the POV and add some actual detail, then it would be a lot better. I think the Mk23 can be left as it is, but obviously with some real textures.

Awesome. I have my microphone setup working now, so just PM or MSN me when you want me to do the voice acting.

Habboi: I think that if this project is a boat, Hostage Situation would definitely be a ship. I do take this to be a far smaller project than HS.

Well, this obviously has nothing to do with Spirit. It sounds like it's just something wrong with your compile settings.
