1. not needed and they wouldn't be 'recent posts' if we missed some of the recent ones out. 2. definitely not. if they want to contact the MV mods, they can use the 'contact us' page. 3. already there. 4. links shouldn't be bigger, and the brown doesn't suit the new colour scheme.
luke: I'd love for links to open in new windows, but I can't. Blame Ant, if anyone, for making TWHL XHTML strict, and not transitional.
I don't know about you Tycell, but I'd offer to help no matter who was asking for it, and I wouldn't take any money for doing it. Not only (in this case) to help out a fellow uni student, but because it's a fun way to keep my entity work up to speed.
unfortunately the new CSS layout limits the possibilities for variable-sized posts - such that only the field with the text in it can change the height of the post, one (the avatar) has to stay fixed.
recent maps are coming back in a slightly different form, but i haven't nailed down the motm code, and there's still one or two issues to flatten out before it goes back up again.
srry/everyone: customise your forums in your control panel profile edit. you can set how many posts in a page, and you can choose whether to use small avatars or not.
srry: you're right about the entity guide. ant wanted to make more pages like it (for listing categories, etc), and i strongly opposed. i'm sure the entity guide page will be changed, and those big icons are just a placeholder until we make some new graphice for the categories as for bbcode on the front page, i've left it the way it was before: only img tags are visible on the front page.
daubster: the shoutbox live page needs an update, this should be fixed in time.
hunter/everyone: the bug stopping externally hosted maps from being added to the vault has been fixed.
alex: that is caused by your cache remembering the old versions of the avatars. press f5 whenever you see an oversized avatar, or just clear your cache.
2: look here the search function might look a bit crappy, but it's actually much better than the original one. you can search for an "exact match", force words to be +included or -excluded, and everything else searches for a match on only one of the terms. so in the search 'star wars' (without quotes), it shows up results with the word 'star', and with the word 'wars'. the search will have pages in the near future.
3: will be fixed when i add pages to the search. it will be tutorials when you're looking at tutorials, maps in the vault, etc.
muzz: the reason you can't see the admin stuff is because there is no admin panel yet, so i'm keeping users out of admin until i do that (tomorrow). you'll be able to see the moderator forums then too.
[ent] - Entity. This tag is used for entities. For example, 'func_wall'. [ins] - Instructions. This tag is used when giving specific instructions to the user. Useful for keyboard shortcuts and the like. [val] - Value. This tag is used for data values. Things like important numbers and similar. [prop] - Property. This tag is used for properties. Can be used for entity information.
it shouldn't be. the name of the mod is in gameinfo.txt and the map folder is the same. plus there is the advantage of having nothing but mods in the sourcemods directory.
