the time limit is midnight south african time, iirc. if you can't make it/miss the time limit because of obscurity, contact me and/or strider via email/PM/IRC within, say 12 hours of the time limit. don't worry, TWHL3 will have a better time system. i'll allow submissions until midnight GMT-12 (so after the compo closes, but it is still 7th november somewhere in the world, via email, PM etc.)
MOH: airborne is better than pacific assault, at least marginally. PA = in pixelated jungle, get killed by unseen enemy. airborne = get killed by a retard that suddenly appeared in a place that was empty before, but at least it looks good
Bitches don't know about my [fail] edit: Bitches don't know to stop spamming images Bitches also don't know that srry pressured me into reopening this thread Bitches furthermore don't know it's only getting one more chance. no image spam, bitches (zombieloffe posted way too many, rimrook posted a wide one that stretched [this thread is spam anyway, keep the image spam out kk])!
this is normal for a decompile. decompile carves the map from a giant cube, resulting in lots of invalid brushes. it also makes it impossible to recompile from the decompiled map, but its good to see how some entity setups were done.
thats an idea, someone make a map where gordon is stuck inside a game of tetris (which goes automatically), and has to jump up the blocks to escape crushage!
anyway, you need to purchase the game from steam. obviously if you don't have the game you can't play it. you have the half-life GCF because CS (and possibly CZ) needs files from it to run.
? TWHL3 already redirects straight to the thread. this is the same for: ◊ making new threads redirects straight to the new thread ◊ new posts redirect straight to the thread it was posted on ◊ (not done yet) Private Messages deleting, sending redirect to inbox ◊ editing and deleting forum posts redirect to thread ◊ (i never use the map vault, but if it doesn't already, posting maps redirects to the map page) ◊ (same goes for map comments) ◊ as well as other new stuff such as projects, project forums, tutorial comments, journal comments, project news updates, new projects, etc etc, i think you get the idea.
? I haven't even thought about the code for "new threads", but i'm pretty sure newly edited threads get the little green dot atm, just not bumped. ? editing any post except your last post is not an option. ? deleting your last post is an option.
