Make sure you also have a camera sequence for him standing, them teleport the player to where the camera left him afterwards, This will involve trial and error to get the exact position, so do all this after everything else is mapped and scripted (execpt enemy NPCs)

New system sucks. Half the players only try to get achivements for new weapons, don't they? And now noone will play untill the have all the weapons, which will be never because of the loadout menu's storage limit.

info_player_freeze or something like that was used in the opfor expansion. Just stick him in the seat if he's sitting, it's the best you can do without the proper ents.

Or use the loadout menu to also determine your headgear for each class. That way people would get the headgear they want AND it'd help the 'mercenary' theme a bit, as players could change their character's look to fit their style.
On a side note, my friend already deleted Natchsa from his loadout. He sees it as the only useless unlock so far. I dunno, It might come in handy someday, only he does'nt have it anymore...

I think they're making it too complicated, it was fine the way it was before the loadout system at all, and now there's new headgear, and hundreds of weapons you can get at random, and you can only have 50... I know it's the long awaited TF2, but it's getting too compilcated, and It'll just be harder and harder for new players to get into. (and me, who only gets to play once every month or so at a friend's house)

Anyway, back to the topic... Jarate seems like a gimic, but breaking the spy's cloak will be very useful with the new spy cloak...Exept in 2fort...Anyway, it's the only thing keeping the spy from being overpowered if you can use both watches.

He knew that the Blue Scout was compromised because he's being black-mailed. So obviously the Blue Scout is most likely the Red Spy.
Not nessisarely. The Blue spy may have just known it was the Scout's mother, but the scout may not have been blackmailed, just the red spy fancied his mom.

Nightfire on GameCube is awesome. That's all I have to contribute.
Yes, it is awsome, but it could still use a few lines of code that don't count PUNCHING people as killing them.

I'd try to find a way to unlock and open the vault door from the inside, and failing that, take the radio and tell the bomb squad to get a faster way to open the door, or they'd have a pile of bodies on their hands. If there was cover (gold or something) in the vault, I'd try to convince them to blast the damn thing open.

You know what really bugs me? I'm sure you've all played Goldeneye, and know that all the time you have to 'minimize scientist casualties' or you fail the mission. But, when you use unarmed, they DIE. You hit them with your hands or a sniper rifle, and instead of being knocked out, they die. I can understand that from a decade old game, but in newer games, such as 007 Nightfire, when you punch someone, they die as well. And you fail the mission, even if they're just a random civilian NPC. This really bugs me because the enemies you punch out are counted as incatacipated, not dead, but they are still counted as haven been killed. A few lines of code could fix this, I'm sure, they don't have to get back up, but don't count them as dead unless you use a lethal weapon on them or their "knocked out" corpse.
Post any examples of bad or illogical coding from games here.

How will that work? will the spy ragdoll, or do a ragdoll-like animation? If it's an animation, it may not work for long.

Payload race looks to be a lot of fun, especially because the carts will roll immediately back down if not touched.
It also explains why the scout update's BONK background had two payload tracks.
The two arena maps are disappointing. No one plays the crappy gametype, so I don't get why they're pushing it.
Arena's OK, but not so central on what TF2 is about. Then again, noone plays TF2 as an actual TEAM, so maybe area's existance is justifyed.

To me it just sounds like the killing shot will pin them to the wall, like Half-Life 2's crossbow.
And a non-killing shot will stick in them. I'd stick with the sniper though, personally.

Out of the option for me, I'm afraid. :(

It's not in the elevator, it's under the catwalk, between some barrels and crates. You can go in, but not out.
I haven't seen any guns that you can pick up...

spag's: nver noticed that but i can add clipping.
Just a box would work. It's underneath the catwalk, a hole in the 'wall' of storage stuff.
Did you test it in steam or in WON, and also, did you run it in minimod format or copy the mod contents to your valve folder? I get all sorts of crazy bugs running it in mod format, but none if it's run out of the valve folder...
WON minimod.
Nefarious's: it's compiled with full vis, as are all the rest of the rooms
Well something's wrong with it, And if you jump into the pool and fire a gun, half the time the gun impact effects will happen right in front of you, like you're in the void of a full compiled map.

I do use steam.
And I wish I could use steam. Damn updates, I can't download them before the steam updater crashes.
...Admittedly, only to certain extents. I use my brothers account.
Get your own, it's free! :D (I used my brother's too for a while)
Bump
Okay, I played through the coop quite a few times, now it's time for the bug report:
  • I got stuck in SpaG's room, near the barrels. Either clip that hole so people don't fall in it, make the crates and barrels movable, or add a crate there.
  • Nefarious's room seems to have been run without VIS or something, bad flashlighting.
  • ZeebaG's room has nulled places you can see the void in at the end hall.
  • Level changes are inconsistent in lighting at places, and the doors never close before the change, and if you look backwards it kills emersion.
Also, for some reason, (maybe due to my recent HL relocation) the console stopped working. (It works again for normal HL and all the mods I've tried)
Hopefully there aren't many more errors, if any.
