Oh, I didn't necessarily mean bigger teams. I'd say 6 would be a high cap for that. I just meant a bunch of us into a free-for-all :P

(I am also generally available for PUBG. My usual Duos partner is graphics-cardless at the moment, and I have been enjoying team games more than solo lately.)

THE SWITCH
(I realize these games mostly already exist, but I don't got a Switch yet.)
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
I want a piece of this. I've heard great things, and I think I'll dig it.

Super Mario Odyssey
I need to know what the hell this is.

Splatoon 2
Splatoon 1 was good fun.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle
I don't know or care what the rabbids are, but this was enough to convince me I should check this out. Whatever the goddamn hell it is.

THE STEAM
Slime Rancher
I saw this game on a segment of one of Giant Bomb's Unprofessional Friday shows, and thought it looked neat enough to try out. However, I have a personal policy to not play Early Access games before they are released, just so I don't play a whole bunch and burn out on something before it is actually a finished product. (PUBG is an exception.) Anyway, Slime Rancher is due to be released from early access... yesterday. Either time zones or a delay is holding it up, otherwise I'd be playing it right now. Either way, palpable anticipation.
UPDATE: It appears to have been released. Goodbye, day.

Dead Cells
In early access, see policy outlined above. Looks really neat, and might scratch a few of my various gaming itches.

Astroneer
Yet again, early access. Looked kinda empty when I first saw it, but I think this has some real potential to become something cool.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
I played an unhealthy amount of the original Mount & Blade, so I've been watching every damn move this thing makes. Gotta say, it looks very promising! If you're a mapper/modder (and you are), check out this video. It's fucking sexy.

If I think of anything else, I'll be sure to add it. I feel like I'm forgetting things.

It's a shame it is at heart a game that requires so many people. I'd love games just filled up with TWHL folk. Unfortunately, I don't know how practical it is to get any more than four people into the same game. (Those custom servers, maybe? I know you can't host them yet, but you can join 'em.)

1024^3 is the allowed playable space, SSB. You're free to map beyond it, as long at the player can't get out of it (or at least survive outside of it).

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Slap "DSFix" on there, that fixes the technical problems of that. (It won't change the button prompts, IIRC, which in itself is pretty annoying, but can be felt out...)

How about falling off of the level? Are we permitted falling time out of the cube to throw in a fade or whatever? (As opposed to having to kill the player before they leave the 1024-cube.)

Actually, I think you couldn't have anything outside of the space in TWHL Tower. Hence the question here. (Unless I forced that restriction upon myself.)

For the record, my earlier use of a smilie was because I had no idea what SSB was talking about. No offence, but you could stand to work on your English. It's quite difficult to understand you most of the time.

I've got a rough idea of the theme of my map, but no real idea of the structure.

Urby, do you see these airlocks as being pre-existing? Like, do you think they should be built into the architecture, or are they just... I dunno.

I bounced hard off of Dark Souls the first time I tried to play it, but quite the opposite the second time. It's definitely worth trying, at the very least, because it is a great game.
Depending on how you play, you may want to just look up what the various stats are so forth are, though. I feel like part of why I bounced off of it the first time was because I didn't know anything about the stats, and they don't really tell you in-game; you're expected to parse it yourself. (But there's pretty thorough resources out there these days.)

In other words, yes. Play Dark Souls.

Secondly and relatedly, will we be allowed to modify the airlock at all? Obviously not so as to make it look notably different. Just maybe some additions for effect, like making it look worn/damaged, or throwing some boxes and scientists in there.
Yes. I would just need to remember to add said adjustments in the joined map.
Well, maybe. If it was just the middle section of the airlock getting jumped, would any differences on the outer sections need to be in there beforehand?

Basically, do you get teleported into a new airlock when you shift dimensions, or is the whole airlock shifting?

You know damn well I'm in.

Since I'm probably going to retrofit the idea I had for your last semi-proposed project (with the descending theme) into this project, I have some questions. Firstly, will there be any standardized level transition effects? As in, if we're hopping dimensions and all, will the level be changed during a white fade or something of the like? My idea would be most effective if the player can't see the first second or three, is all.
Secondly and relatedly, will we be allowed to modify the airlock at all? Obviously not so as to make it look notably different. Just maybe some additions for effect, like making it look worn/damaged, or throwing some boxes and scientists in there.

I've played a lot of Morrowind, but have never finished it. I don't think that's saying anything though, because it's also true of Skyrim and New Vegas.

I don't think I'm going to play any of those Beth games anymore, because the more I try to play them again, the less interested I am.

Anyway, now that that is out of the way... didn't see much at EA that interested me (not that surprising, I can't imagine what would interest me from E3). I've seen people up on the looks of The Way Out, or whatever it was called.

I shan't predict.

The primary use of visgroups is, as you say, cleaning up the 2D views from stuff you aren't actively working on (or whatever you might want to hide specific groups of objects for). I guess it is also a fast way of doing what Admer suggests as well, but it's not what they are FOR, per se. If there's any other primary effects, I am unaware of them.

Alright, I think that's enough for this test. Let's see how it went! Just a sentence to block front-page viewers just to not give it away, yeah
Rise and shine, ladies! My name is Moist Monster Butthole-Inspector John F. Kennedy! The first and last words I want to hear out of your robust holes is "pie"! Do I make myself rusty?

Pie, yes, pie!

My goal is simple! As of right now, you are all manholes! You will not shoot until deflowered, you will not tighten unless told to do so! When I ask you to really, really tighten, you will reply with "I love you"! Do you get me?!

Pie, yes, pie!

What's your name, dirtbag?... Sound off like you got a Blu-ray copy of the 1988 movie Vampire's Kiss!... Professor Custardpants, huh? Looks more like Professor Anus to me! Seems your name was quietly sodomised to the top of the dusty twerking list! My suggestion to you is to get your groin down to the smothering center, and report to Tin-of-Baked-Beans-With-Sausages Crazed-Gunman Honey-Nut Bagpuss ASAP! Now move it, Professor!
