Are you skyboxing the entire map to prevent leaks? If you do have a leak, fix it, then apply a proper skybox.

I doubt that. I run 1600x1200, and when i was using Worldcraft 3.3, 4/5 years ago, i ran 800x600 and it was still doing it.

I geuss its just some kind of glitch in Hammer's program code... :/

Yup. The full SDK is pretty large. If you just want to make changes to the code, the source-only SDK is all you need.

I believe this is the first time i made a thread in the HL Engine Discussion Forum. :P Oh well.

When i start up Hammer, using the desktop shortcut, Hammer sometimes doesn't seem to maximize correctly, showing the desktop background at the top of the screen. The weirdest part is, that when i close Hammer and restart it, it usually maximizes correctly, and if not, i keep restarting until it does. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

And no, this has got nothing to do with my modified Hammer, its been doing this since Worldcraft 3.3.

Nope. Perhaps it wasnt coded in yet. Or only partialy.

But meh. This Day One thing is just like the original HL, with only a couple of small differences. I was actually hoping Day One contains stuff like this:

First of all:

Warning: More than 8 wadfiles are in use. (13)

or obscure errors, consider this as suspect.

No more then 8 wads are allowed. More could cause problems.

Second of all:

Warning: Too many direct light styles on a face

Before i explain to you what is causing this, do you have any lights that:
  • can be turned on/off (toggle)
  • have dynamics (flicker/strobe animations)
  • have names but cannot be turned on/of or don't have dynamics?

Omg, Desert Strike! I played that countless of times on my old 386 with bootable Desert Strike disk (could'nt start DS without it)!
I also played a lot of Jungle Strike after that, also pwn.

Move to position is a key, Elon, Instantanious is a value.

The WaitForScript flag was actually never included in the code so it doesn't work. There are more flags from many entities that don't serve a purpose.

Anyway, you could try the Prisoner flag. When checked, the monster AI is disabled and the zombie won't attack the scientist.

There's no need for a multimanager, just name the glass and the env_explosion the same, and let it trigger.

env_explosion
name: explo_glass

func_breakable (glass)
name: explo_glass

func_breakable (Dynamite)
target: explo_glass

The same happends when using CLIP brushes. And perhaps it also happend with many other special textures such as HINT and SKIP.

You probably have a partially texture origin brush as part of the visible brush. Origin brush may only have the ORIGIN texture applied to it, on all side. If you also have another texture applied to one or more faces of that brush, you'll get that error.

Just found this "time killing" game. Its a desktop game in wich you construct physics "traps" by placing all kinds of toys such ass footballs, bricks, balloons, toycars, little balls, wedges, magnets, hammers, and what not. The most cool part of this game are the physics. Make a tower of bricks, then remove the bottom one, and the tower will collapse. There possibilites are limitless. You can make stuff and still able to browse sites.

Have a look the official site and get yourself a free (yes, this game is freeware!) and start playing with it. You can save your creations and upload them to the official site, or your own site for everyone to download and play with.

Then you're using the wrong damage type.

Use damage type BURN and Damage amount 100.

This is what i used in Uplink Extended, and it works.

That looks like a "[" to me. Thats the problem. It should be "{". And yes, get rid of that "other" blue color at the top left hand corner.
