Looks good TJB, that's one intricate layout. How do you plan on rendering it to show the interiors?

Looks pretty good. I like the lighting coming from below. It's a shame we can't use the cave I did, it compiles for me with zhlt.

Thanks a lot. It does have a 6x6 in the center and a bracket system that I didn't map but modeled that holds the 6x6 and 4 4x4's that branch out to the corners.

The central 6x6 is hidden in the ladder and the 4x4's are hidden in the walls.

Edit: I want to build this sum b**** out of bamboo now to make it look more like a tiki hut. I'll have to scout craig's list for some time.

I'm in to squatching. I'm considering building a small squatch tower/cabin in the woods somewhere. Here's a rendering of my first concept. It has a three high bunk bed and shelving with a cooking counter top.

My favorite notepad is simply a 8.5" x 11" piece of cheap copy paper folded in half. Every time I buy a sketchpad or notebook the paper is too grainy for my taste.

Sometimes i'll fold the paper a second time to fit in my pocket, but I draw on it folded once. With it completely unfolded the paper is too flimsy and the canvas is too big but with it folded once it is just right. ;) Try this method with the previously mentioned pens/pencil and you'll crank out some art.

Sorry for veering off topic, I'd ask Rimrook about the apps.

@Tet, i'll have to try the gel version, I was always curious about it.

@Captain, looks cool what is it? You should consider industrial design.

I make a mask of something from the internet when I need it and then save it in ps if I want to use it later.

I almost always just make new ones though.

I think I actually have a pack of human silhouettes somewhere.

That depends in my opinion. Architecture may be more desirable that works in more than one place.

Le Corbusier designed his architecture as if a machine to serve a purpose to humanity.

I could see it making certain architecture more special though.

I designed this with nothing more than a lot on the beach in mind. It could work in many locations on the beach imo.

Don't let arch school be your only insight. Take it from me, lines of extension, so confining...

I was hesitant to even share these images, the floor plan is like the blueprints to an unpatented invention.

Maybe i'll pm them to you some time.

Yes I have floor plans and elevations. I Will probably make sections too. I don't plan on sharing them though. ;)

No, the girls are just images I found online. :aggrieved:

Post your renderings from any program/engine you feel are worth a look.

Here are some I just generated of a house. I usually don't share my architecture on the web so enjoy.

This is actually a beach house I designed about six years ago with hammer and revamped recently with modern programs.

In a rush to finish I messed up on the motion blur effect, it's supposed to fade in front of the girl. I'd fix it but ps crashed before I saved it.

Anyone else care to post any half life look alikes? There used to be this guy who went to my gym that looked exactly like Gordon Freeman. He always wore a orange tank top and had a goatee and the black glasses.

She is 17' long and 6' tall. I used the scale 24 units= 1' wide and 20 units= 1' tall. The garage is pretty small.

The scale works for architecture, but not for railings and props. I made the truck to full scale though to see how it would fit in the garage.

Wow, Awesome! Server has had players join all day yesterday for me.

Maybe you could try implementing what zerotech said in another forum.

Bhop Settings
Playable on 100fps
sv_airaccelerate 100
sv_maxspeed 10000
sv_gravity 800
sv_accelerate 10

You could try these settings and see if the player gains air control?

It's too hard imo to control the gauss jumps on maps like gauss_god and apartment without falling off the edge.

Nice work Urby!

Archie, some people had mentioned possibly reducing time spent on each map. I'd agree on that as they start to get repetitive pretty fast.

Also, I used to be able to type "timeleft" and "nextmap" but it no longer works.

My energy comes and goes. It reflects my lifestyle though.

The more I exercise my body and mind the more energy I have.

My attention has been divided though as I spend most of my free time designing things to build and make rather than maps to play.

I think school wore on me as well as it taught me to procrastinate my time away.

Auto aim!?!? Why??? :pwned:

How much do servers run for, I would consider hosting one with some mods like mid air side scrolling and no auto aim. Maybe even surf settings enabled.

I've done stalkyard before, but I'd probably do it again. No, bounce, I'd do bounce. Bounce plays awful imo, though it has a nice concept.

Subtransit is a great option, though it's already sort of nice. It could totally be spruced up though.
