Probably could have solved it with a simple matrix too.
Impossible with the given information.

Also..
It's a simple algebra problem.
Stop saying simple :P

Those are the combinations that you can multiply 7,7,5,5,and 2 without one of the numbers (the ones to the left of the dash).

It is impossible methinks.. in the end you might be able to get the ages of all the guests, but you cant tell the age of the owner when you only have a lower limit of what his age might be.

Or we could all be mis-interpreting it like I did the first time >_>

I think a story-line 3D game is a waste of time because it would take forever to be produced and may not even be fun. Round oriented multiplayer seems the way to go if an indi-team wants to produce something playable within a reasonable timespan.

Both DirectX and OpenGL have their respective shader languages. I think they're HLSL(DirectX) and GLSL(OpenGL).

Also.. dont blame DirectX for being choppy. In terms of half-life, I believe it was OGL first before DirectX was tacked on. I'm not duking it up for DX or anything, but remember that several games dont always give you the choice.

If you're staying in computer-land with the engine.. You might do DirectX. I'm not sure the capability difference, but I would think of it more as a learning opportunity if you already know opengl.

in Loading .lin file Post #276518
You load the pointfile in hammer, not in the game itself. When you say the pointfile leads from random place to another, its not supposed to lead between two entities. Its supposed to direct you "through" your leaks.. so follow the red line with the .lin file loaded, and it should show you where your leaks are.

in World's top programming languages Post #275940
If you take a look at this chart scale, you will notice Java has been the most popular programming language since at the very least 2002.
Java has been the recent trend in "starting" programming languages in uni's and grade schools all over the world. Considering that the site bases its ratings off of search engines, and that learning programming students use search engines an extremely large amount, I think the chart might be a bit bias. Its not popular as much as it is forced down peoples throats. It doesn't account for the number of professionals who actually contribute to programming society.
I guess you have never heard then of Java applets inside HTML, or JavaScript powered web forms, or ActionScript powered Flash sites or even C#.net powered web databases?
You're missing my point. Many online ones do exist, sure, but the "Majority" of all code written is done for an offline platform. I can confidently vouch that the sheer amount of offline prone code alone outnumbers the amount of javascript or java applets even; Online tasks aren't too particularly complicated. Theres absolutely no way a single site could calculate the number of people actively using a language based off of its search engine results.
The ratings are based on the number of skilled engineers world-wide, courses and third party vendors.
You realize how vague that is? I dunno about you, but personally I have trouble finding the rosters of a business, let alone every programming business on the planet. On the topic of courses, the guy who designed that system must be a fucking master at artificial intelligence. It can search every school website, find its exact class listing, and derive what languages they're using!
I mean, how much of a research do you really need?
The kind of research thats not bullshit. >_>

I know Java is becoming increasingly popular as of late, but I dont really believe the numbers on that site because programming is a decidedly "offline" sport.

You could do that one old trick. Assuming those doors aren't being used for anything, you can copy your room, spin it around 180 degrees, and put it right up against the mirror space on the other side.

You would have to reverse the direction of the fan, and

you would also have to put a light outside of the window on the other side too, or the light through the window wont come across.

Its mildly annoying but its a 'perfect' mirror.

If its getting a story across then I don't see why its such a problem. I'm positive the devs wouldn't have put it in there simply for people to soak in the joy of killing air port civilians.

Plenty of stories feature despicable things and MW2 is no different.

No he did not. He wrote vague shit down in a journal and let people interpret it how they wanted. If he was truly as awesome as people think he is, he could mention specifics.

If he was so great at 'judicial astrology', then why isn't it a credible source of information today? Even a hobbyist would've stumbled upon it by now if it was a trustworthy source of information.
