Didn't Valve originally say that they would keep on working on the original l4d making new content and shit as well as for l4d 2?
By doing all the original campains for the "new" l4d 2, then the original really was just a beta. There has been pretty much no new content to the original at all. It annoys me a bit.. but just a bit. I'm not saying that I regret buying it.

Also, you blocked my edit. I realised that Ghost Recon 1 wasn't PC exclusive however at least it wasn't a shitty console port, it was made for the PC.

This will sound weird, but try creating a func_brush and texture it nodraw, then parant that to the train, and then parant the PVC to the func_brush. It's silly but by experience I have noticed that sometimes silly things work better than obvious things.

What happens if you remove every other light? I've had problems with too many lights on the same face, but that couldn't possibly be the problem in this case.

You could save the GFC files, uninstall the game, put back the GCF files and then install. Would save you some time
