I could add an enterance/exit corridor to my nanosuit mimic map http://twhl.co.za/vault.php?map=5513. It's basically just one big room, and it's got action. If you guys think it would be a good idea I'll do it :>

in Goldsource mapping for steam- How to fix Post #288964
Isn't that the error you get when the DLLs needed aren't within the folder they are supposed to be because in steam they are packed away in CGF files?
I remember getting this, and the way I solved it was by getting CGF-scape and extracting the necessary dlls to their "real" location

Conviction is actually really good. Sam's decent into, well, madness is totally believable and very well played.
The big plot twist is a bit rubbish - definitely not Tom Clancy quality, but the game itself is top notch.
Chaos Theory was really good. Everything that followed it was pretty lame imo. I still play Chaos Theory, but I haven't even bothered finishing either one of its predecessors. I admit I never played Double Agent on PC, only on 360, but I'm guessing it wasn't any better.

I'm currently not playing anything. I've run out of good games, and I', desperate to get a new one. I've played through Fallout NV 3 times, all three playthroughs were awesome, but now I'm tired of it. O thought I'd be spending quality time with CoD BO, but turns out that was shit, and I returned it, so here I am with no games and too much sparetime. Should I get a job?

I tried altering one thing in the ending to see if it made the end work. Not sure why I thought it would, but luckely it did. In the second last conversation I chosed to throw the guy off the dam (trying to avoid spoilers) When I did this, I was allowed to see at least 1 minute of the video before it crashed. Awesome idea of ending a game I must say. I loved how all my small actions made a difference. Shame I still cant see all of it

Why did you do that? The kings leader is a very nice guy and gives you the best companion in the game - Rex, the robotic dog of pure awesome. He makes me lol everytime I talk to him.
Because they were being rude! I've got two companions already, A robot which I got when I was at Primm, and some girl in a hood, who punches peoples heads off with her iron glove, who I met somewhere outside New Vegas. She's awesome!

Found this annoying bug which you guys probably have noticed as well. I was in the Lucky 38 Casino in New Vegas, and my companions were told to wait outside. When I was done, I went outside, forgot to tell them to follow me, and went on to the next area. When I realized that I had forgotten to tell my companions to follow me I went back to the previous area where they had stood, and they were now gone. So I loaded a previous game, and they had disappeared from that save aswell. I had to go back quite a bit to get my companions back. Annoying!

Some GPUs have a plastic casing around the cooler(or whatever the word is for it in english), and the fan blows into the cooler. If this is the case, vacuuming the fan will not do. You will have to either dismount the plastic casing and clean the inside, or do what I do, if you've got access to an aircompressor, blow carefully with not too much pressure into the cooler, it'll nlow out all of the dust, saving a lot of energy wasted on dismounting and reassembling.

You could also just make the couch a prop_static, which should eliminate the problem. I didn't think of that earlier.
I mean, if it doesn't collide anyway, and the player won't have a reason to move it, it might as well be static.

Yeah it's harmless. Is the couch touching the wall or the floor, or is it the npcs?
It might go away if you disable collision for all of the npcs (disable it in the scripted sequence used, ignore collision or something) and props involved. If you disable the couch collision you could always make a clipbrush around it, preventing the player and other npcs from walking through it

in Source Level Changes Post #284098
1. The user gets out of the vehicle using the "use button" right? So make a Point_clientcommand and trigger it to fire the command which is associated with the use button (Im guessing "+use"?)

2. Have you used a Trigger_transition? Since it's function is to transfer anything from your first level to your second which is within the entity volume, then why not try to make a small one which doesn't contain any entities, this might fix your problem.
Notice that the trigger_transition needs to have the same name as the landmark

3. Answer to "2" should cover this aswell

in What entities do you have to use in orde Post #283944
You could simply use an env_fade to fade to black, and you could use a game_text to write a message telling the player that he has reached the end.
You could also use a point_clientcommand and give it a command via imput which makes the game quit the map automatically

If you want to make a coop map for source, I suggest looking up how to setup a Synergy map.
On TWHL you will find all the knowledge you need to make a map, however as far as I know we do not have a tutorial which shows what entities is needed to make a Synergy map. Go to their website, I'm sure they have guides.

To get people to help you, you will need more details, a more detailed story, more information and perhaps some already finished work which you could show off. Also you will need to say specifically what you need help with.
Do you need help with mapping or coding, or perhaps you just need some voice acting?

Also, no one has a clue how much skill you have, and no one will join a mod leader unless they know how good this person is at his job.

I'm guessing you dont have much experience nor skills, and I therefore advice you to put your hopes of making your own mod down for a while, at least until you have the skill and experience needed.

When I was a kid I loved playing games where you drove a car and you shot at other cars, and the goal was either to win the race, or blow up all of the opponents before they finished the race. I especially liked the games where you could upgrade your weapons, cars, engines and shit like that.
Like you'd start with a shitty car and a couple of spikes on the front as a weapon, and you'd go on from there.

Today I had that feeling that I wanted to play some of these old games to bring back the good memories, but to my disappointment I couldn't find any of them around the house, nor could I remember the name of any of them..well except Carmageddon but that wasn't one of my favorites. I mean, I liked it, but it wasn't as good as the others.

So my question to you is, do you know any games which fits the description, so that I maybe can download them go to the store and buy these games with real money.
It'd make a not so old but triggerhappy cow very happy.

Thanks :>
