in Hammer 3.5< problems with Windows 7 Post #311951
I fixed it by moving hammer install files from my documents on my secondary HDD to my SSD program files, which I use for important programs and the OS. Probably didn't set my SSD up optimally.

Thanks for the heads up on the GPU Penguinboy and Urby, downgrading drivers was last resort.

in Hammer 3.5< problems with Windows 7 Post #311925
I upgraded the graphics drivers after I encountered the problem. CS works in D3D and my GPU is a Geforce GTX 570.

Also it just crashes after a few seconds of splash screen, I can't read the windows error report jargon either.

in Hammer 3.5< problems with Windows 7 Post #311923
So basically this is a weird problem I've encountered and believe it has something to do with windows 7 openGL support.

Versions of Hammer 3.5 and below one day started crashing on splash screen and I haven't been able to open them since, this happened the same day Counter-Strike 1.6 started crashing very frequently on game entry.

I have uninstalled all versions of hammer multiple times which hasn't helped at all either.

So basically just praying that someone has had a similar experience and knows a fix because I don't really want to have to reformat.

Personally, I will probably end up taking a range of drugs and chilling with my friends.

Found out about my names mythology from super nintendo title Earthbound, before it was largely popularised by a Jonny Depp film. I picked it because I liked it as a word. I was mcmitcho before that which was a childhood which was intended to be said like M. C. mitcho but I later realised that it was only realistic to expect people to read it like Mc Mitchhich I which is a reason I hated it.

Well you couldn't lose the main key, they're on the same keyring. And if the main one breaks, it'll break in the lock, which a spare key can't help very quickly.
I realise this is nitpicking.
I did considered this and my only justification was if they bought the product and were too lazy to separate the keys.

Also saying if the key breaks in the lock was stupid, that's an inherent problem for all locks.

Why are there two keys?
Aesthetically it looks cooler, practically it could be justified as a spare key.

How is voting corrupt?
To put it simply, basically members from more popular sites will generate more votes for popular members of those websites.

How many times do you see people asking for people to vote for them without judgement, hell, Rimrook did it the other day!

But at the end of the day, it is your competition and your game, run it how you please.

Yeah some heroes also have skills that deny creeps in DotA/HoN, like tempest/enigma and plague rider/lich. Heroes can also be denied only when below 5-10% life and with DoT (damage over time) still on them, which makes very good sense for multiple reasons if you think about it.

Also if any one would like DotA 2, I have 4 invites currently.

Edit: WTF at the other teams katarina. Also I just remembered in LoL when picking from the hero pool, only heroes on your team can't be picked, where as in HoN and DotA if a hero is picked the other team can't get it. Drafting teams is a real art and is one of if not the most important part of the competitive scene.

in League of Legends Post #307901
To clarify, in DotA and HoN you can start attacking your own creeps when they are below 50% health, if you land the killing blow on your own creep, the enemy obviously get no gold and about half the experience.

You can also deny towers when they are below 10% health, the other team all get 100 gold instead of 200-350.

in League of Legends Post #307898
Well to be honest, DotA and HoN, and all MOBA's are pretty much the least casual games on the planet as you have to learn over 100 characters inside out to become even a shit player.

So to clarify, LoL is definitely not casual being a MOBA, but far MORE casual than HoN and DotA as you have less ways to slow down farm, which essentially, make the game less about skill and more about investment. I've actually heard from a lot of people HoN is faster thus also seeming harsher than DotA.

in League of Legends Post #307896
I have heard LoL is a fair bit more casual than HoN, no creep denying right? Sounds absolutely absurd to a HoN player like me, wouldn't it basically be like free farming?

Also playing one hero is a joke if you actually want to become a decent player. How the hell can you read your opponents if you never play the heroes/champions they are playing.

I play HoN, currently 1800+ ranking. Favourite hero is Torturer, a better version of Leshrac from dota.

This hero:

Sadly, but understandably he has been nerfed a fair bit over past years. They halved his impalement damage to towers, lowered his nukes damage, decreased the cast range, increased cooldown, but they have also slightly buffed his strength gain which was so good because he really needs to get right in the middle of battles.

Big news indeed. I hope we aren't waiting until e3 for official details though. I hope this happens, and I hope its good. I have faith in valve as a company who hold their ideals close by. This console could have quite a serious edge over the playstation and the xbox as valve have the infrastructure to make it so.

This guy.

I Like double shot latte best with a teaspoon of sugar if I feel like a sweeter drink.

I've also had turkish coffee, which tasted like burned aniseed. Also
on my trip in Italy I drank a lot of espressos with a dash of grappa, but I didn't really fancy it, I just did it to please the locals.

Also lol @ dimbark, reminds me of the ignorant and destructive gamer kid I was back in the day when I picked up Morrowind.

Also I enchanted a daedric sword with paralyse for 2 seconds. Procs around 15-20% and is unstoppable in any 1 v 1 fight. Hey, I could even duel wield.

I kinda have to agree with salmon on this one. This game was incredibly awesome when I started, now at level 45 this game just feels like a complete chore.

I think I prefer Fallout, felt like I really had to take a much more tactical approach in that game which kept it more interesting for me and it was so much more refreshing.

Or maybe its just the fact the fallout wasn't as massive, so it wasn't stale by the time I beat it.

Oh also Alduin was a joke.
