the first scientist in status reporting floor might have a missing or wrongly named action animation. check its scripted sequences

I think this is intentional?
More or less, I think I put an animation in there but probably had a typo, therefore it doesnt work. You can leave it though, I think the animation was just as silly.

I dont actually mind playing the old school style black mesa mods - I love the atmosphere and setting, and being able to replay the events of original HL but as a different character in the universe is still a pretty cool thing

Played the whole thing (apart from two floors that crashed), heres my quick overview:

I thought Mighty Atoms was the best, what good design!
Crashed on Malle's and Tetsu0 so didnt get to play those
Jeffs was the most interesting in regards to premise
Dr. Orange had the cool old school half life feel, which is awesome

Heres my listy list. Not quite 'top 5' but still something.

Bishop - Neverwinter nights 2
User posted image
Pretty much reluctant about everything, but had a cool hair cut. Too bad he turned over to the baddies side!

Barney - Half Life 1
(picture above bro)

The low def model from the original, such a cool guy. When I started playing HL ages ago he was always around to help. I was so sad I couldnt save him in the Blast Pit level!

Tommy Angelo - Mafia
User posted image
And all round good natual character, awesome philosophy too, pretty much gave the best monologues

Taurus - Interstate 76
User posted image
If you press the Q button during a mission, Taurus would give a poem over the radio to you. That, and of course other cool sayings he gave makes him underrated.

Lego Island characters - Lego Island
User posted image
Ok so 'every character' is a bit silly choice, but each character in the game was so unique I couldn't just pick one!

Cyber demon, Doom. Too hard bro when using the arrow keys to move around...

Gunther Herman, Deus Ex. Bring a fire extinguisher, or Laputan machine.

The Master, Fallout. For me it was get good charisma and talk your way out of it... couldn't beat him in combat ever
User posted image
Helicops, ALL BOSSES IN THE WHOLE GAME. Just too hard, well for me it was hard when I used to play as a kid...
User posted image
Natty Dread, Interstate 76. What made this frustrating was no quick save and you're up against like 5 creepers!

I work as a debt officer for the government.
Requires a ton a problem solving and communication skills, and knowing how to 'leave work at work'

Call center environment. Considering the state of employment for people with little qualification and experience (like myself) its a fitting job.

Used to work in hospitality.

Let me tell you, for you first few jobs you may end up working in some pretty sucky jobs.

Quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever read.
Yours is the least informed list so far in this thread
I was hoping you would pick up on satire!
Yes, the main character is a douchbag and has a bunch of douchebag friends... You should have at least stuck around for the antagonis.
Well when I played Far Cry 2, that not only had a cool unique setting but also I got to pick my character and the characters came from all over the world. And yes I saw my friend play the start of the game and I saw the antagonis who quoted Forrest Gump and errything!
Calling it one of the 5 worst games ever because you couldn't run it is dumb.
I know. And it probably is very good! But hey, I spent good money on that game, I need to vent my bitterness somehow!

Games that looked so unappealing that I didn't play them at all (therefore making them the worst games ever, which may be a bit of a harsh title, considering im judging them without ever playing them).

WORST GAMES EVER (in no order, bro).
  • Any COD game after COD2. How many times do I get to be an American soldier and kill people? TRICK QUESTION, the answer is: America saves the world!
  • Far Cry 3 "hahahah awww yeahh! effn pilots license! I haven't had Sambuca since I was 20 years old!" Suddenly my care factor for the character went to -1000 and I did not want to be them in the game and I never played it due to that obscene opening remark. I came to play Far Cry not Jersey Shore Simulator.
  • Colin McRae Rally 1. This game NEVER worked on my Windows 95; I spent my saved up pocket money on that and it NEVER worked despite having a good Voodoo card and making sure the system specs on the base of the cardboard box the game came in matched my system.
  • Quantum Redshift. Now actually I did play that game but each level was just double plus unfun. First line in the manual: "You don't go this fast". yeah man.
  • GTA 5. If I have to see someone upload another Lets Play GTA 5 on youtube im going to flip my cookies.
  • Robocop. Words are meaningless.

In no order...
  • Lego Island
  • Age of Empires 1
  • Sim city 4
  • Jazz jack Rabbit
  • Doom

1 - Mafia
Great story, great setting, something unique before the wannabes of later GTA-wateva took over.

2 - Deus Ex
Played it through 4 times from start to end and STILL find new things each time I play!

3 - Vietcong
For a nam Game it wasn't that bad, very underated.

4 - Morrowind
Havn't even played Skyrim - don't even need to bro.

5 - The Walking Dead
Great story and characters, one of the most recent games that actually held my attention, very well written.

(Special mentions I feel bad for leaving out: HL, Hidden and Dangerous 2, Doom 3, DNF, Farcry 2, Operation Flashpoint, Neverwinter Nights 2. Ok done!)

3 - The check out (a show in Australia about advertising and stuff, its quite good)
4 - Faulty Towers
5 - Man Vs Food

yeah boi!

Ive never played Half Life 2, let alone made maps for it... So I dont know head from tail with Source stuff.

But I do enjoy spending time now and then working on my own Goldsource projects and playing any old HL mods I manage to dig up.

Half Life is great, it just doesnt seem to age for me so I always enjoy it.

Under the realisation the rain suddenly stopped when the aliens came, I grabbed my pink satchel which I stuffed the song into and we both made our way out across the yard.

“See!” I exclaimed pointing at the new billboard the weird guys at the lab from town put up last week.

“Oh yeah! I forgot that was there!” LaVolpe said.

“Remember? Whenever someone writes a song the aliens come and look for it, then they steal it and use it as wallpaper. Haven’t you watched When Mars Attacks?”

“Not really, but you never watched my box set of Are you Being Served with me, so why should I?”
User posted image
“I say!” I said, “An alien invasion is kinda a dumb turning point today. I mean, I was enjoying the rain and the wind and the mice and the pen chewing but now this invasion has made things go a bit bananas.”

We reluctantly began leaving the house and walking past the local school and across the park to get a better idea of the damage, slightly disappointed aliens were introduced this early but shrugging our shoulders and continuing with the story anyway. The big red and blue machine stopped off at the local bar for a quick diet coke because it was time for smoko, which bought us some time to get out of sight.

“We gotta try and reach the ‘song disposal shed’ to get rid of the song. I mean, if the aliens get a hold of this, just think how bad the property market is going to be in a few years!”

“yes,” LaVolpe replied “that sounds like a good idea”

We finally reached Sun Sun Olala Avenue where the song disposal shed was located…

Above is a great shot of the massive turn out at yesterdays biggest music festival for the Communist State of Nine: Kool Musik Outing 2013.
Featured many great acts including:
  • Surface Tension
  • Maximum Keytars
  • Not Quite 8
and new international rock and roll bands from Republic of Writers including Barry Potato-Cakes (featuring new #1 hit "Back so soon?"), Gasoline Fifty and Liquid Words.

Music festival proved to be a great success and good day out for all (for those who could get it off work).
Above is a shot of the huge crowd numbers!

Event organizers are confident next year will be even better.
