in Monstermaker Apache Path Post #333745
Is it at all possible to have an apache spawned via a monstermaker follow a path_corner path?

I know teleporting an apache in would be more reliable, but I need to be able to spawn an indefinite number of them. If we can confirm that monstermakers are rubbish and can't do this, I'll just have to scrap this idea.

Searches on this site would suggest it can't be done, but I'd like to be sure.

All I got was the dull sting of Urby's sarcasm :sarcastic:
Nah, mine's getting there. Only one more touch to make on the detail/layout before I get to touching up the lighting and ambience. Then gameplay, then done. I'll see if I can find another good snap with the map in its current state, seeing as I probably already gave away what map I'm doing.

Nothing that can't be achieved in 10 days :P

I reckon the extension, if given, should be two weeks, not a month. Seems like it's been mostly an issue of inspiration, and now that everyone is getting into it, the creation process should be a lot smoother. (IMO)

in Odd Compile Error Post #333359
Nevermind, it seems to have fixed itself.

[s]This weird error has cropped up in the last half hour or so (highlighted below). I have no idea what's causing it, because it was compiling fine before that (well, I was hunting for leaks, so not fine, but you know what I mean). I don't see anything in that log that would be causing it to not create whatever file it is that it's looking for there. Help appreciated!

in Need help. How to click things in order Post #333160
I would imagine a game_counter that increments as you "click" each thing. Each thing targets the penalty/trap except the first, which targets a multi_manager that in turn targets the game_counter and a trigger_changetarget on the next thing. trigger_changetarget makes the next thing target the next multi_manager (set up like the first one). (To make repeatable, penalty/trap also triggers a game_counter_set that resets the counter back to zero, and trigger_changetargets that reset the things' targets.)

If that was confusing, I could try to elaborate.

Could you - and this would depend on how your doors are constructed - could you make the walls of the door conveyors (+ func_illusionary for aesthetics) so that tripmines get brushed off them?

No idea if that would work, just throwing it out there. Don't know how you'd make that work for the floor, either (without pushing the player around).

I've recorded some more, but YouTube is refusing to let me upload them for an ambiguous reason  Nevermind, got it going. Some low effort pulls here. link and link

Since I'm here though, been playing Rhythm Paradise Megamix again (still great!), Overwatch (I should stop!), Dark Souls (should probably move on to the others in the series sometime!) and Hitman (still great!). I've been thinking about getting Steamworld Heist for the 3DS lately, but I haven't been pushed over the brink yet. (Anyone played it?) Also grabbed Nom Nom Galaxy because it looks alright, yet to try it though. That said, I am compelled to punch myself anytime I say that name. I also was convinced by certain sources to grab Solitairica so I have something to do when my phone is all that is available. So far? Probably worth the 6 bucks or so. Lastly, I went and downloaded Construct 2 with plans to tinker around with the idea of making a little something myself...

Nope. Even in the texture image you posted there, I can prove that it is not all 255 blue:
User posted image
Here's a hot tip. Take your texture image, and make the transparent parts some other colour, like hot pink or bright orange or something. Then when you import it into Wally, go around and turn the pink/orange/whatever parts 255 blue. That way, you know they are all 255 blue, and if you miss any bits, they'll stick right out.

I think Hammer has always done this. I seem to remember it doing so, anyway.

I believe ambient_generics loop by default. If it's a custom sound and it isn't looping, I think it has something to do with cue points, which someone else should be able to help with.

As for location, you could make your own folder in valve/sound and put your custom sounds in there. As long as the entities reference the location correctly, it's all good. (I think.)
