Is max3D free?
I use Blender, which is free. From what I have seen Blender is easily capable of renders like that, but surely if you have to pay for Max it must be better in some way?

The Wii seems innovative with there Wiimote, but in my opinion they are trying to imitate real life things in a video console, which I don't approve on. If you want to play tennis, why not go play a REAL game of it at a tennis court? Otherwise, If forced under gun-point to choose a console, I would probably pick the 360.

Haha, we are having the OPPOSITE here in south Africa. Where I live it is basicly scrub/desert. (Karoo Semi-Desert), and for the first time in something like 800 years we have had heavy rainfall, filling up all our dams, and to top that for the first time in history it has SNOWED here. Yes, snow in a desert in africa.
This is near where I live - think , in summer this is semi-desert.

In my opinion we would most likely merge with USA, since we are already part of the UN, and we are such an americanised country.

What can I alone do about it? Get a hybrid car? Wrong. They cost nearly double the price of a normal car. I cant see my parents burning out R350k on a hybrid. Maybe if you are rich, yes, but seeing that the rich form about 0.2% of the worlds population, it is a no-go. The other choice is to not use cars at all. But that is a choice which cannot be taken - we have to go to work to make a living, and where I live the public transport is absolute shit.
So my motto is: Not my fault, cant do anything about it.
If they reduced the price of hybrids, then I could do something. But it would only make a difference if MILLIONS of people followed suit.

Why are people so scared of displacements? I used them without even reading any manuel, and it is just make block, set a few things, then just make bumps and texture.

Glad you fixed it. I have 1 gig ram, 3.0 ghz Pentium 4, Nvidia 6600, and Hl2 runs at 150fps on max graphics settings with full reflections, AA, 1024x768 resolution.
