I made about 20 friends of people I didn't know before, just by joining random internet games, and playing a bit.

And these are actually cool active people, not some loser who invites every player he is in a game with.

Although, all of these people had mics, and I have a mic myself, so I guess that makes it easier.

Also, I like how a guy with an avatar from a WWII game is complaining that L4D and Portal aren't original. lol.
LOL! Win!

And I hope that the name isn't the reason you're not buying L4D. How ignorant could you possibly get?

There are a whole bunch of games with weird names that you just can't judge without playing.

World of goo, little big planet, just to name a few.

I actually thought the name was great, what makes you think its bad?

Is it the "4" that bothers you, or just the name in general?

I'm wating 'till it's 9$ . I don't see a fucking reason for it to be so expensive. It has nothing original.
Gmod , for example, should cost 50 $ . But it doesn't .
Your mom, for example, should cost $0.05. But she doesn't.
I wasn't keeping track of this thread, so I had to scroll up to see who Guinea was quoting on that stupid stupid comment.

Needless to say, I was not surprised.

On another note,

Funny Strider, I thought fallout 3 was amazing. I never played Oblivion though. The ending Of F3 drove me to tears. (Ok, maybe not tears, but I got that feeling in my throat that you get when you're about to)

Ok, I am having some real weird issues with the shoutbox,

Look at it right now. Right now

Theres 2 messages there, "black mesa source" and "How close do you guys think they are to getting that thing out there?"

This isn't a joke, I'm serious, I didn't type those, and its kinda weird.

Those are the first two lines of my journal, a coincidence?

Edit: Unless some moderator is....messing with my mind! :zomg:

Oh wait cmon Daub! I was going to include a type of vault door in my map!

!%$@%#!@%!#@%#

Oh well, I'll figure out some type of other cool door. I'll start brainstorming, if anyone has any cool ideas about what kind of door a facility that goes into a mountain would have, feel free to assist my brainstorming. :D

I probably couldn't get the vault door working anyway. I could see it perfectly in my head, but then I saw the screenshot you posted and suddenly the image of a working vault door was replaced with a compile log, with tons, and tons...of errors.

Nice Daub, some sort of machine? I can see the conveyor belt.

And Tetsu0, I'm sure you could find some way to make that ship into a room. Like Srry's idea, Maybe put 2 doors going "below decks" one being the entrance, one being the exit. It would be that much interesting, because how do you go into another huge room, after going into a ship? As long as we aren't looking for realism here with the positioning of the rooms, it could be an interesting effect.

tl;dr

Do Srry's idea.

I haven't had much time to work on mine, semester is ending in school and I've been working hard to make sure I don't get teh fail. :crowbar:

The very first game I played was Doom. (if you consider standing at the entrance and trying to shoot the door out, playing) I was 2 years old.

My dad taught me how to start it in DOS on my own.

No, we'll all be dead from nuclear war by then. Silly potatis.
Hurry, to the vault!
The world will come to and end eventually. There are 2 major possibilities (if we won't be hit by another astronomic object):

1.We'll collide with a near galaxy before the sun passes out ( it won't be a supernova , it's too small)...I think it's andromeda or I dn't remember well. All I know is that that galaxy is heading towards ass at a high speed .
2.The sun passes out.
Well, none of that will happen in three years.

Sure you can. I've been making them up to this point, but it will save me time! Just don't go too crazy and remember it's a hallway; we want the main focus to be on the rooms, right? = )
Of course, I was just asking because I was thinking of a way to add a flashy ingame "made by atdestroy" thing in my entrance hallway, just because I'm such a modest person. :sarcastic:

The weekend is coming and I will finally have time to work on a room, if you'll have it.

It doesn't need to be related to the other rooms at all, I just make something I think is cool?

This might be interesting then.

I don't even know if that'll be the outcome at all, it just seems like whenever kids are made to do stuff at a really young age, they end up hating it later in life.
I suppose that can be the outcome. I always wind up hating learning about different things unless I do it myself. If I had been taught mapping in school, I think a fullbright rectangle with a player_spawn would be my best work.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact I don't like being forced to do anything? Maybe, but I'm not sure.

I sure do have problems with authority.

It's gotten to the point where some schools are dropping the "F" grade because they don't want people to feel bad. Our education system is fail. Oh wait, that's too harsh. Our education system "Needs Improvement".
My brothers elementary school changed the "F" grade to the "E" grade two years ago.

So now instead of failing, our elementary kids are excellenting!
