You can try a batch compiler, instead of compiling in hammer. Follow a FPS tutorial, it explains it quite well, but you will need an extra file, just google it and follow the tutorial

Custom compile tools is justa visual interface, the compiler programs are the same. You could try Nem's compiler.

If you want to travel through the space you need a greater speed than light, which is impossible.

Nearest star from earth is at 40 bilions km, 4,22 light years.

Lol, nothing can travel faster than light, and if matter did, it would create a black-hole, that's what Einstein said. You can't "travel" through the space with megarockets or something like that. But there's a possibility of doing it with worm holes, which I doubt humans will discover in 1000 years

I'm trying to make a zombie for CSS, just a short scene with prop_dynamics. I'm doing it with the headcrab model and zombie model, but I don't see any zombie default animation for headcrab.

I would want to parent the headcrab to the zombie head, is it possible?

yes Madcow, It's 9:00 swedish hour.

I don't know If I'll be able to play because I uninstaled CSS yesterday, because It was only finding 300 servers (and I've founf more than 10000 some days). It's downloading right now, but steam sucks downloading the games.

I've followed a tutorial on how to make a driveable vehicle on fps banana, but it sucks because It looks too much to the HL1 kind of vehicles and is way too much unrealistic.

So I've invented my own way to make the vehicle, with trigger_pushes instead of phys_trusters or whatever they're called. It works "ok", they're parented and all the stuff, i can control the "vehicle" by pressing AWSD, problem comes when turning left and right, trigger_push pushes all the object instead of rotating it taking the origin point as reference. Here's a picture where I show it well.

Blue thing is the vehicle, brown things the trigger_pushes, R is supposed to turn left, and L to turn right (yeah, I messed the letters). Red point is origin. What you see below the picture is what it's doing atm when I try to make it go right(wrong), and what you see on the right is what I want it to do.

what i want to do is replace the left right pushes to a func_rotate, and parent the phys_box to the func_rotate so it can turn left and right, but game crashes when I do it.

What I want is a func_rotate that is affected by gravity and physics of the agme, why can't I do that? :(!

Problem was with the trigger calling the entities, seems to not work if you set the delay time between activating the point_viewcontrol and triggering it to 0. I just delayed it 3 seconds and works :D

I've done a controlable box, you can move it forward, backward, left, right, up and down. Now I want to put a point_viewcontrol behind it, and parent it to the box, so I can see the box moving on thirdperson view (not 3th person player view, just the box)

It works ok if I dont parent the camera to the box, it looks at the object but it doesn't move. But When I try to parent the camera to the box, camera doesn't work. I know it's possible to make it, because that guy called Baxayaun has made mods without codding, here's the example of what I want to make just the backside camera. It's for CSS!

I've made a smoketrail parented to a func_tracktrail that moves. Tracktrain is moving as spected, but there's no smoke. It gives this error on console when map spawn:
Attempted to create unknown entity type env_smoketrail!
Can't init env_smoketrail
Any idea?
