This tutorial is for HL1 not for HL2. I recommend you making your own prefabs and objects, you will learn more and quickly. I give you some useful keys.

If you want to align textures just select a face and press Cntl + Right click on another face. you can use Alt + Right click too, it does same thing but in a different way.

Because I hate the 3dsmax/XSI building system, is so slow and complicated, and I learned modeling at university with a program like Sketchup so it's very difficult to get used to 3dsmax/XSI.

This room took me around 1 minute and 20 seconds to compile with a Quad Core 2,4 GHz. It's optimized but not very much.

My map lighting sucks don't know why. Seems to be "ok" inside buildings, but light_enviroment sucks, it goes through solids on some parts, fullbrighted, when I walk it changes the light tonality, when I walk some faces are black and then the normal texture. I have no leaks on the map, no erros too.

Please help meeeeeeee!

It's an entity used for old graphics card. It creates a surface image of the shader, useful for water textures and reflective textures like metal.

Ok, cubemap wasn't touching the surface, now it's touching it and I've linked the surface to the cubemap, but when I open the map it crashes, no errors on compiling.

I'm having some problems with almost all water textures. Water brush is nodraw with only water texture on the surface. It also has env_cubemap and water_lod_control on the surface. Pic texture is water_coast03, but almost all have the same problem. Plz need help.

I think I used the 3.4 or so, but I think trigger_counter is a brush entit. Now I map for source so I can't see if it's true but I think you're not finding it because it's a brush entity.
