Not much of a coder, but i believe that when CBaseEntity::spawn() is called you need to precache the model. (though again no idea)

Edit the .fgd that hammer uses and add the entities you want to appear in hammer for your weapons :)

How do they achieve putting new stuff into the renderer if they don't have the gsrc engine. Do they just strip the rendering part and emulate it themselves or is it just hooked up to the engine to inject those features ? Obviously im not a good coder, but i haz to know !? :)

Umm, if you had your hands dirty making a pc before id recommend buying an AMD e350 platform then you have an option of expanding to a raid card if you want to do an internal storage and the ability to hook anything up to it.

Asus has a fanless model if noise is a concern. It runs full hd no prob.
Though the size is bigger than these mini pc's.

Zotac's zboxes are also a good choice for this.

NAS'es arent cheap when you go for more than 2 drives.

If that really is your logic, I'm guessing you don't have a single game with the number 2 in the title. Otherwise you're a hypocrite.
Im not saying i only like the originals, TF2 for example was a great game. The thing is there is not a lot of new stuff for cs to have a new title. Im sorry but a molotov and a few more guns doesn't cut it for me. What ive seen so far is that cs evolution was nothing more than a copy of the old game with degrading quality of gameplay (movement in this case).
Really, we don't even need the original games either. Or TV. Or Books. We can just sit at home and stare at a wall in the dark instead.
But that wouldn't be any fun.
500 years ago people did that everyday.

As a game its fun and much more appealing to new players, but to me its a different game. What im raging about is that there was no need for a new cs game.

What most of us in out minds wanted was a 1.6 facelift, i mean source players can still play source why not give 1.6 players a graphics overhaul instead of another CS:S with a round counter.

It would be nice if not how fire works in source, ticking every second instead of a steady drain, messing movement up.

Im still trying to wrap my head around why there are 2 machineguns in the game

I bet this game will disappoint just like ending of Mass Effect.
Don't be silly it was good

As for the game, it feels very restricted, the movement is not the same.
Its hard to notice if you hit anyone.
Maps are very tight (de_inferno especially).
Weapon models need work (galil looks like an m4, m4 doesn't look like an m4).
Decoy and molotov seriously ?

Mass Effect 3 ending was gold compared to this :D

That's far from true. Nothing today is made to last, that's just not how the economics work, unfortunately.
I had (I believe) 7 nvid cards none of which had broken (with the exception of 1 that ants crawled on the back of the board and shorted it out). I still have a geforce 2 that runs great :)

I hope i get a beta invite soon, as for the game - valve needs more cash.
Gun models take up half the screen like in L4D2. With the current sounds its impossible to distinguish what you are firing. The buy menu is horribly confusing. Money system is broken. Semi-spammable walls make it so that you can spam half across the map.
Well when the associated hammer comes out i will probably remake the "broken" cs:go maps into simpler ones :D

in Custom log commands Post #303411
Hey guys,
So i want to ask how can i force the server to output a custom log line ?
Have no idea what im talking about ?
No prob here's an example:
Server usually outputs something similar to this:
L 02/15/2012 - 18:55:11: World triggered "Round_Start"
Thats all fine and dandy but i need some way of making "my own" line
ex:
L 02/15/2012 - 18:55:11: start_record
I need that because i got a statistics script that listens to the servers logs and i need to get a start point for when to start recording data.
Any ideas ?

I would use "say" command but i don't want anyone to be able to mess with this.

Ar those cards using reference design like this: http://www.maximumpc.com/files/u127998/gpu_geforce_gtx570full.jpg ?
These are prone to overheating if you stack them
Get some cooling right away ! Otherwise you will simply burn your card out (570's aren't cheap)

Temperatures ?
You could run FurMark to test for stability.

This looks like a power issue to me (even though it might not seem it is dont rule it out)

Remove 1 card and test then switch them and test the other one.
One card could have a problem that makes the other one crash.

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this thread but here goes :)
So i imposed a challenge to myself to make a map every week this whole year.

Each map will be playable (CS only) and small-medium in size.
If anything interesting pops up i will post a screen in the WIP thread :)
Please suggest what idea/thing i could try in the next map

------Idea bank------
So far none :(
------Maps so far------
2/51
dev_lol01 - will be posted later
cs_lol2 - http://twhl.info/vault.php?map=5731
Since i don't want to spin my head thinking up 51 names i will just name each map lol and its respective number (ex. lol05)

Place your bets on how long you think i will last :P

Hardly believable, a guy that before worked in a market, a small team somewhere in Australia, for now its 100% hoax to me. Giving that all the major players in this business could have developed one already. Even if it is true there is still much work left for them (me no likey small secret companies)

• Best Round: 115 frags (Ruffee) My nick is also spelled with 1 "f"
