Yeah i know its not limited to just google plus. It's still a pain to have to sign in to something every time i use the internet.
I nearly always browse in incognito windows
I tried incognito mode in chrome. It stops saving history, but it still saves the data. I think chrome simply doesnt answer to me, the user.

it doesnt. Like i just deleted cookies, got logged out of other sites like facebook and stuff, but if I go on youtube it gives me the same recommendations. I know that method works if i used firefox, but chrome must be doing something to still have that data without the cookies.

chrome combined with google activity is massively annoying. This issue mainly comes up on youtube. It just repeatedly recommends you the same video you watched yesterday and/or whatever is the most popular video related to that. Deleting cookies technically should work, but I think chrome stores this data somewhere else and prevents you from deleting them. I dont use a google plus account, so I cant 'login' and delete all that stuff either. Any solutions? I dont want to have to switch to firefox unless there really is no way to get rid of this junk.

the easiest way, is to copy the entirely of the folder 'gearbox' from steamapps/common/half-life directory and use that as your mod folder. You will need to open liblist.gam in your copied folder to change the starting maps to whatever map you have. You can safely delete everything in the maps folder from the copied folder, since your mod isn't gonna be using the default opposing force maps.

However most OP4 fan content are maps instead of mods for a good reason. There really is no need to make your own op4 mod unless you have a substantial amount of new models and stuff. If you are simply making a map in opposing force, just put your map in the gearbox/maps folder and play it from OP4 instead.

Played on hard. Very tough challenge even though I played the old version before. Love the makeover, it's got a tf2 or portal feel to it. Took a look at the files. There was a mix of hd and ld models and loads of extraneous files for some reason. Doesnt matter, though, mod was pretty cool, I liked the extra area at that end, went into that one completely blind.

I found out why they removed it, it was to accommodate penguins. W. T. F. Why would you remove a video mode just because of that. Like, why would you even need to remove it at all, and not just leave it in there? Anyway, if you are one of those people that ask why people still use WON HL, here's your reason. Valve had removed the optimal video mode that my computer needs to run HL smoothly, and it was for penguins. As if there are that many people using penguins to begin with. You wanna know how many people on steam use penguins? Less than 1%.

Someone on github called this an 'abhorrent move on valve's part' and made the argument that valve was dumb to have removed this mode without optimizing the other video mode for current users. The next time someone says "why are you still using WON" you can eat the fudge right out of my used diapers.

I assume its no longer possible with regular steam HL unless your using scripts. It's ridiculous anyway, what with gordon going around at mach 2 where you arent really 'playing' the game.

I think it's a nice reward, suit charge is. Unless someone puts 20 wall chargers it's hard to keep suit charge high in combat especially against soldiers. I think urby can handle rearranging maps so that easy and hard maps are ordered appropriately.

P.S. You know theres a frequent grunt problem is that sometimes when they shoot you and you go into cover, they keep shooting forever and never run out of bullets in their clip UNTIL they see you? Know where that bug is?

monstermaker grunts and repel grunts all carry hand granades by default, I dont think this can be changed

However, if you have a monster_human_grunt with weapon set to non-HG and non-GL still using granades, I think your fgd has a problem.

easiest way is to not let them have grenades.

There are also soldiers in my map and I found that giving them granades is a big no-no with the architecture that they are in.

You give a good point about the importance of uniqueness in each map. I'll try to come up with something else.

I seem to have used around 40% of the alloted space so far. But I'm stuck.
I had just finished a pretty good idea but no idea what I should do after that. You mind if I borrow your 'red-light' or 'blue breakable' concepts in my map? Though I'd prolly have to play your map to have an idea what the concept is.

my Pockets map is going to have a hidden time limit
I hope you'll reconsider. Time limits are some of the most annoying design choices in games, especially in a game with a large focus on quicksaving. Players may quickly find themselves screwed over if they quicksave unknowingly with a hidden time limit and are doomed to fail the level.

I cobbled 2 other maps together... deja vu....

Is this mod gonna be ld or hd? It was really jarring seeing phillip playing the tower in HD, then see ld models and it looked weird. Knowing this would also help me decide what custom models to use

i dont hate counter strike. Reason i dont play cs maps is because i dont like wandering around a single map by myself for 5 minutes. If you include a podbot waypoint with your cs map, I can add it to my WON CS rotation and play it sometimes. Then I'll comment on your map.

its like a skybox, very big space but its pure scenery and not reachable.

Personally if your going for a city feel you should check out cs assault's wad or poke646 wad, or something. just an opinion.

I'm still confused, lets say i hollow out a 1024 cube, can the player be walking on top of it? What if it was a 992 cube instead?

its because the top of the cube is outside and theres a skybox on top of that, so I dunno how much space is available under the surface.

Yup. Gearbox models freak out if you rename them and try to use them in monster_generic entities.
I got some models that have this problem and are unable to be used. Among these are hgrunts with hornet guns and hgrunts that shoot mp5 at full auto

confession time. I thought about the restriction, and a perfect fit idea would be being confined to an apartment in space. It will be like a cinder block house on a sheet of plaster board floating in the infinite abyss. If you leave the 1024 sized cube house you will suffer asphyxiation and be forced back inside. It would be like totally appropriate for this mod, but for some reason I feel like it might not be a good idea after all.

in the poll, vanilla is clearly winning. However, implementing the most often used custom code from spirit (model replacements) into a custom DLL shouldnt be terribly difficult. Just need to give everyone the new DLL's and FGD's.

Regardless of whether therse new code or not, I am totally in on this

i liked twhl tower, urby leads collabs really well.

If shepard can handle coding, I can add you a few .cpp files if you want, but then everyone might be interested in new fgd's fast.

But maybe you should get to the CORE ISSUE first
