Lemme clear up what happened in my mind:
Backstory: My computer got hooked to a new router, and whenever I restart it or turn it off or on, I play around with the power box to do it instantly, because it's quicker and easier. However, it resets the router as well and would mess up my mom's internet so I have to wait for the OK.
Story Here: I had problems with Steam and I came to TWHL for help. They helped me after a bit of confusion, it took a bit till I got the OK from my mom, and now we've all gone nuts.

Well, I can't delete it when steam is up.

Q: Why not delete it when steam is down?
A: I can't reload steam for some reason, it says that Steam is already running, even after 5 minutes. I restore it every time, but I know it will probably load if I restart my computer.
Q: Why not restart your computer?
A: Because whenever i do, it is connected to a power curciut which runs our router. My mother's playing LOTRO and will be a while, so I have to wait.

Verify game content, delete clientregistry.blob...

Usual fixes will generally get it going again.

If Steam freezing or is Half-Life freezing?
Whenever I try to run a game, steam freezes, it doesn't respond. Like if I try Op4.

TWHL, I need your help.

Every time I try to play a game or run a mod, my Steam freezes and I have to use the task manager. I can't play my mod, or the new mod I got, Fate Reversal, or anything else.

I don't know what's wrong, it worked yesterday. Also, I tried restarting my PC, I didn't work.

Who can help?

PS: Crollo totally meant it that way.
PSS: I have no idea what Crollo meant, I was too lazy to look at Shoutbox Live, help me out, lol. :walter:

no, the
terribly stretched textures on the top of the walls
is just when I click "Full" and then do the textures. I make every wall block like that because it's simpler and impossible to see if there was a ceiling.

Well, you make your floor and put a large block exactly above it touching it. Then, make another block that cuts through the middle of the last part. Without ig, click it and texture it and DONE!

i carve all the time to and keep it neat, even when I don't need to. After making my floor, I make a big block around it and carve in the middle so I can texture it all at once.

Carve, carve, carve, carve, too much carving but I'm okay and I like it, I'm with Tetsu0.

Well, none of this solves my problem, still.

I would forget and appy, and the carved-doors would all turn out wrong. I hate doing them over, is there any way to stop this function?

I do use units of 8 and thanks for all the info, but how do you cut out specific holes? I can only use the clip to cut edges and give a bit of a bend.

I hate when I'm texturing things in hammer while carving them. What would happen is I get the c1a0_labglu texture and put it where I want a sliding door. I then give the sides c1a0b_dr4 and carve it. However, when I try to do it to another door, I accidently forget that when I use the texture to apply the new texture, it selects all of those textures. I would forget and appy, and the carved-doors would all turn out wrong. I hate doing them over, is there any way to stop this function?

I have the book "raising the bar" that shows everything about making half life, including everything in www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3408/the_cabal_valves_design_process_.php plus more. It has a whole lot of information on every single HL game. (Except for the gearbox ones)

quad damage is where it gives you x200 power. It's often used in conc maps on TFC

EDIT: Cycler can be hit by a crowbar or something, gives off alien blood, and is very very tall.

What you do is very simple!

Step 1: Make a large environment.
Make sure it has a few secret areas.

Step 2: Use a code that you make yourself.
Also, make a wall with thirty butttons and only 1 works and the others kill you.

Step 3: In that room, put a real gluon-gun with unlimited ammo.

Step 4: Put all the fake gluons around and have the weaponstrips happen and a few explosions. Make at least seven fake-gluons.

Step 5: In the secret room, make a button that gives you quad mode.

Then, have fun. It's smooth sailing from there! (You may want to add godmode as well)

Well, I'm going to post the first weapon model, right now my source code is as normal as the regular hl code. I haven't edited anything in it. The first model (or picture idea) will be on my wiki soon.

Also, I re-made the model of my character, check it out. You can download it.

You're looking for weapon coders, eh? I'm still new to Half-Life coding but I've managed to make a P90 and make the DLLs compile in MS Visual C++ 2008. Maybe I could code one or two weapons for you?
Awesomeness. Can you make a second type of SMG and a good meelee weapon? Those are the really the only weapons I would want or need, but the more the merrier!

1: My mod is advancing very slowly, but hey, so did the Stone Age.
2: I could use some of those weapons, I need help on coding weapons in like your Deagle and I can edit the model for my scientist arms.
3: If we could figure out how to make custom models with ease, we can take some of the event files and make new weapons, for both of our mods.
4: Do i need Spirit of Half Life?
