Meerjel is right, that texture has a special name with a minus and a number in front -1 -2 -3 and they will randomize on the walls they are placed at.

I am glad you fixed it, and that you told us what the problem was so that others can reference to it tomorrow if they have a similar problem. GoldSrc can get a bit wonky when it comes to entities edge point being off grid, my advice is to always follow the guides so no solids exist in weird angles especially if they are facing the outside of the map (The void).

When setting up the skybox name include everything but the two direction letters (bk,dn,ft,rt,up) for example > le_sky_ (Not le_sky or le_sky_bk, etc.)
Also the images must be a total of 6 for all six directions (bk,dn,ft,rt,up) and in Targa format (.tga).

They matter, of course, but they have to be used properly. They are used to make a forceful cut in a map so that the engine does less rendering at a point in time (Depending on the position of the player). I never used them and my opinion is if you make your map well enough with the usual methods you wont ever need to use them either (Especially today, unless you are mapping for older hardware).

This map is visually stunning and beautiful, plant site A is a little bit lacking compared to T spawn and plant site B in terms of background visuals the buildings kinda just stop near the mountains (Usually these old people would have carved into the mountains as well), but the performance on my computer is very low , I never got 100FPS in any direction and I was alone on the server.
If the question is how will this extended map fare in 32 player combat i believe the general opinion will be that it is way too big from many player, regular dust 2 is hard to over take one area from the other and here there is a lot of ways somebody will need to learn in order to progress the map properly, timer on public server is usually 2 minutes and 15 seconds.
I personally like it, especially because the palm trees were placed where I placed mine when i did some dd2 modding haha, but in reality this will make an excellent deathmatch map and even a good biohazard map.

Which compiler are you using? Built in Hammer or Jackhammer one , or is it something third party?

Where is Radiosity? You cant have lights with out the final step.
First is CSG then BSP then VIS and then RAD. I do not see RAD step completed in your compile log.

Happened to me on angled terrain in red erosion map, where my textures were flipped one away from the other. The explanation i was given was "its a bug in the opengl code". It also happens to me with transparent textures like trees where it draws a thin black line at the top, or bottom depending on the orientation. The said errors did not appear while the game was in Software render mode.

Should not your file have a dot in between the file name and file extension? "jack.map"

Try shortening the folder path if the file does have a proper name windows can recognize. "D:/Mapping/..."

I doubt that is possible because every solution to such a problem i saw was either a coded sequence (Like button doors in Duke Nukem , you finish one area and locate a code for an door located in a different map for example) or a completely separate map in the whole.

Jackhammer lacks in texture application area, it is less hustle to work with texture application tool in hammer than it is in jack. Honestly, besides transparent objects in editor i dont really see any improvement over free Valve Hammer Editor 3.5 .

Try spacing them so they dont overlap each other. Can some times happen if you moved that wall from its position and then back after adding decals to it.

Generally I dont think gold source engine is impressive enough unlike those other engines like Build or Unreal. I guess thats why there is much more various content in those than gold source, but Im not sure and might be wrong...

I do care when somebody wants to challenge my logic, but usually those who do are easily defeated only becase it is the principles that are important and not the little details they try to cling onto.
Religion, a science of the mind, traslated meaning would be "a way of which ones life is led" is present in every man, woman and child. What is your religion, depends on what you nurture within you, and is with out a doubt a set of principles that are applyed to everything that person defined and applied within it self (talking about ones mind).

To arrive at this statement where I am took a lot of sacrifice and endured hardships in life out of which many cost plenty of time, health and money.
It is pretty simple to defend your self online but I would like to see us discuss these things in person as much more information is passed via guestures and just by a display of physical presence and emotion.

Simply put - If a man could just like that realise that everything he knows and does is wrong he wouldnt be here in the first place. It is very hard for one to give up himself and change to something completely diametrically different.

But the key is in ones life principles as they are the starting point of all expressed emotion.

Separate it like so:

A func wall with tranparency or transparent texture that encases an solid object with SKY texture on the side you want to see sky and BLACK texture (thats the name of the texture) on the side you dont want to be seen, and add another solid object behind it (on the side you want to block visibility from) and it will make it like so - The ones seeing sky will only see sky, the other side will only see black.

An example of this is used in Half Life single player in the map after the hangar with a whole lot of lasermines that you escape via an elivator. Look at the windows in the armory and outside of it and you will see what I mean. Other than that, separe the two rooms with teleports if its not nececary to be connected physically in one swop.

Yeah, old tools werent so fine tuned. I was asked once to make an dust 2 forrest map, which I did by merging an wad from an already existing texture mod and doing some slight aligments and texture alterations to the original file. In the end I compiled it with out the need of an external wad but the game has a bug where it would , now get this, keep the textures loaded from the previous de_dust2 map just because both maps use the same texture names. The server was a dust2 only type of server and after changing from classic dust 2 to this one it kept old sand textures instead, only the skybox was different.

Original de_dust2 was made a long time ago it utilises no optimisation whatsoever. If you found a map that looks crapply made but has the sane amount of solids to acommodate all the textures that is the original dust2 rmf that when compiled produces an working copy of dust2.
Steam version has an slightly altered dust2 version, but that depends on what you are looking for.

If you want to render sky in a window yet there is something on the other side that you do not want to be seen you have to make a thin layered wall with a solid texture and sky in front of it. If you want to make a solid wall that is transparent use null texture.

Also, i doubt that is what you want but i could not undersand it clearly from your text, can you write what exactly do you want to achieve in case 1 and 2?

You can always make a wall that pushes if it is single player. Maybe also try func_illusionary with content water? Trigger push works within illusionary but if not it might have to do with the player swimming and not walking.

I personally would not allow any passing of judgment before the person who is beeing insulted responds as to why is it insulted by what insulted it so it is known and clear. You are giving room for a whole lot of drama to happen with that wide of a black list. You could even go as far as to say : We are not here to discuss people but everything else - But even so any discussion about what peole have made or use could end up breaking those rules.

You´re welcome.

To use select it from solid objects drop down menu and create an area with Block Tool. Uppon creation it will ask what kind of a mesh would you like to create and with how many Divisons. The object it will create is an mass of tetrahedrons with an shared root (Below the editable mesh). That root must remain unobstructed as all tetrahedrons meet in that one point if you cut it who knows what will happen.
You will figure it out from there, just experiment a bit.
